Growing a Backbone!

It's hard to believe that it's been two years since I posted anything on Grazers Anonymous, a blog I started to keep my eating in check, to hopefully, get me fit and lean. I lost over 30 pounds and was in great shape, power walking and biking. Then everything went south.

I tore my Achilles tendon and went into an orthopedic boot for months, exercising only my mouth. the day after my doctor released me, my dishwasher door jumped out and tripped me, sending me spiraling all the way across my kitchen and landing on my knee (same leg). I broke my kneecap.
I seemed to have healed from all the lack of stretching before power walking and general clutsiness. But I'm lazy, it seems. I'm so disappointed in myself.  I'm also embarrassed that I can't seem to leave food alone.

I've missed many opportunities to get outside in beautiful weather. Why?

The hell if I know. I enjoyed being thinner and more fit. I enjoyed the compliements and better health.

I turned 65 yesterday and decided that it's time for me to get back in the game and try to grow a strong backbone instead of growing fat arms, breasts, stomach, thighs, butt, and back muffins.

It's going to be harder than it was two years ago. I know that. But hopefully I can reach my goals by focusing on health rather than weight/size.

You're welcome to follow my struggle and share your ups and downs. Maybe we can do this together, huh?
