I'm overweight and tired of it. I've decided to hold myself accountable in several ways. Feel free to follow my struggle and comment or encourage whenever you can.

7 Months 16 Days
Well, I missed another entire day of blogging on Grazers Anonymous, so I think since I have few followers I'll just can this blog and concentrate on other things. I'll post a note on the Facebook Weight Watchers site occasionally just in case somebody out there is interested....signing off with a current weight loss of 32 pounds. Hoping to reach my half-way goal of 35 pounds in January after struggliing to maintain during Christmas.

7 Months 14 Days
Well my weight was definitely down this morning. Not sure why, but I'll take it. Have upset tummy and my sinuses are messed up due to the severe cold dry air, I suppose.
Had cereal with fresh grapes and coffee for breakfast. Guess I'll work on that tuna salad at lunch time...maybe with a cup of hot soup.
Tonight, I'll have one of the Smart Ones even though the point values are wrong. I have to eat all the things I've already bought and the new point value products aren't even out yet!

Had yogurt and coffee. For lunch I had a tuna sandwich and an apple.
Mid-afternoon I ate a chocolate pudding (no sugar).
Before I went to grandson's play I had a bowl of soup and some crackers.
Now I'm nibbling on pecans.

7 Months 12 Days Weigh-In
RATS! I was up 1.8! I went back to look at what I ate yesterday, and I thought I was doing really well with the new plan. There seem to be lots of folks upset right now. I have already screwed up today by having fried chicken wings for lunch, but they were delicious and I'll eat soup or salad tonight.

7 Months 11 Days
I got up this morning determined to follow the new plan. I had a bowl of cereal with a banana and enough milk to cover it. Forgot about the fresh grapes I'd just bought, but I'll have them later.
For lunch, I had turkey tomato wraps, grapes, and a few chip crumbs. I've up my liquids too.
Tonight I had grilled chicken breast, broccoli casserole, steamed carrots and stewed apples. Wonderful! Grilled enough chicken for a salad tomorrow after weigh-in.
Did some work on my arms and abs because it never got out of the low 30s with wind chill in the 20s.

7 Months 10 Days Back from Asheville
I did fairly well following the OLD Weight Watchers program while I was in Asheville with family. We left Friday morning and got home after dark on Sunday. We ate out every meal. I was happy with my choices but knew I wasn't getting enough water. My skin dried out in all the cold weather and wind while we were shopping and at Biltmore Estate. Got home Sunday night and went crazy over the peanut brittle I had avoided before I left, made for my son to take to Nebraska, but enough left to be around the house. I need to give it away. May take it to my neice who loves it.
Anyway, I had a small yogurt with coffee this morning. I want to get serious about the new plan but this is a rough time of year to start something new. I have cabinets full of things I intend to eat because I'm not throwing them out! So, I'll probably have Progresso soups for lunch and dinner.
I did get my exercise walking and climbing stairs but it's a wind chill in tghe 20s today so I'm not walking outside. I'll try to do some floor exercises and stretches and sit-ups later today.

7 Months 6-9 Days
We're leaving for Asheville in a little while so I won't be writing about my eatings until I get back. I'm planning to stick to the new plan as best I can understand it but I also want to enjoy myself.
Had a strawberry yogurt that's either 3 or 4 points now and a cup of coffee. We'll be doing plenty of walking while shopping and then much more at Biltmore.

7 Months 5 Days
I'm going to try to track the new system today, before I leave on a 3-day journey. One problem I have is that my cabinets are fully stocked with Progresso soups that were 0 or 1 point, now 2 or 3. I know that's still not much, so I'll deal with it. I have yogurts that need to be finished up and crackers that were 1 point that are now 3. I ate a small bowl of oatmeal with stewed apples leftover from last night. Added just enough Half and Half to make it creamy. Now to figure that out.
I'm planning to finish tuna salad from yesterday for lunch with a fesh apple. That'll take care fo the apples already in the house. I need to study and make a list of things I can take with me to have for breakfast while the others are enjoying themselves. I suppose if I eat at Cracker Barrel I won't have to count the apples? They're loaded with sugar so I have no idea. My only salvation may be all the walking and stairs we're going to be doing at Biltmore House and grounds.
Having dinner with my son before he leaves on his trip. Think we're having roast beef. I've saved up some points to enjoy. I also steamed carrots wtih Splenda brown sugar and lots of black pepper. Wonderful!

7 Months 4 Days
I was up .2 today at Weigh-in after a week with two Thanksgiving feasts and one birthday dinner so I was pleased that's all I'd gained. I got all the new materials for the Points Plus program but I need to study. Not sure what to do until I read it. Glad to hear about the fruits and vegetables being 0 points for the most part. They raised my dpt from 22 to 29. That scares me. Anyway, I bought the new points calculator. Leaders says that all Weight Watchers products are switching to the new point values. This is such a busy time of year to start this, but I'm in it to win it. Wondering how others feel about it.
I've read the book and feel somewhat better although I'll be traveling for 3 days and eating all meals out. Not sure how to handle that. I didn't even try to track today.

7 Months 3 Days
Had cereal and the rest of the grapes for breakfast.
Spent the entire morning putting up, cleaning up, and getting ready to start cooking birthday meal for daughter-in-law.
Ate a sandwich for lunch.
I did really well until about 4 pm and then ate a few wedges of cheese. Resisted the urge to have wine.
Had a wonderful spaghetti dinner with broccoli casserole and salad. I didn't eat any bread and used a much smaller plate for my pasta. I DID eat two cookies though. I know I'm over in points. Sent the rest of the cookies away from here.

Got up early with hubby and saw him off. Hope he has a safe trip. I'm now on second cup of coffee. Ate some cereal with grapes. I need to eat the rest of them today before they go bad. Really nice big crispy grapes but I bought a large bag.
My tummy is out of whack probably from the corn and taters last night. I'll plan to eat soup or sandwich today while I finish decorating the house. It's really looking pretty.

7 Months 1 Day
Slept well and had a bowl of cereal with grapes for breakfast. Went to the hardware store and bought 4 extension cords so that I could get moving with my decorations.
Thought my grandson was coming over to help me but he went to Myrtle Beach instead, the little rascal.
Had tuna and grapes for lunch.
Since hubby leaves in the morning, we decided to grill steaks. We finished up the corn and sweet potatoes from Thanksgiving. I threw out what was left. I simply can't digest corn any more.

6 Months 30 Days
Drank a smoothie this morning and tried to start decorating. Found out I could get a stereo, turntable, CD, radio thingy ($350) on sale for half until 2 pm. Threw on some clothes and went to buy two, one for me and one for my wonderful son.
Had a ham sandwich and some tiny snack mix for lunch.
Daugther-in-law helped me get over 1000 lights on the big tree. Beautiful even without the ornaments. I'm tired now. May try to figure out how to play the music machine and just crash. Will wait until tomorrow to do the kitchen tree. I seem to be missing a bunch of ornaments. Where could they be?

6 Months 29 Days: Thanksgiving Day
Well, I certainly ate too much last night. With corn, collards and sweet potatoes, all delicious, I got uip about 5:30 with terrible stomach cramps and chills. So glad I don't have to go anywhere for lunch. I can eat a bowl of soup. Tonight we go to my husband's family feast but I don't intend to go crazy. I think I'll get in the back of the line so there won't be much left. We're taking collards and turnips and the rest of the Easy As Pie I made with fat free, sugar free, low fat stuff. If it's not eaten, I will be tossing it. I don't even want it in the house.

6 Months 28 Days: Weigh-In
Ate a bagel and cream cheese with cranapple juice.
I was down 1.8 pounds! YEAH! I was just hoping to lose the.8 I'd gained last week, so this is great. Now I can relax a little for Thanksgiving...but only a little.
Ate a ham sandwich on wheat and some fat free potato chips. Hubby likes them too.
Having our Thanksgiving feast tonight: country-style venison, brown rice, gravy (using white whole wheat flour in everything). Mad relish with Splenda, and made dessert wtih sugar free, fat free stuff. Baked sweet potatoes and used my new bag of Splenda brown sugar in that but real butter. Also cooking fresh frozen corn we put up last summer. That's the real deal. Couldn' figure out how to minus points on that dish. Still, better than I normally would be having.

6 Months 27 Days
Had cereal with grapes for breakfast before walking and biking. The weather was great...unusually warm for the morning but nice.
Finished all the windows in the house except the giant sun room windows outside. Can't turn them inside to clean. In the process of making Easay As Pie with sugar-free pudding, Fat free Cool Whip, and low fat graham crackers. Still 6 points per-cracker serving though, due to chocolate icing spread on top. Much fewer than it would be the original way.
Had tomato wrap "pizza" for lunch with low fat Ragu sauce and low fat cheese and Bacon Bits.
Not sure what I'll have tonight. Probably Progresso soup.
Had Progresso chicken and veggie soup and some crackers. I'll have a snack later if I'm hungry.

6 Months 26 Days
Somehow I missed posting yesterday.
Had a bowl of ceral with grapes this morning and ran errands all morning. Came home and ate a turkey on wheat sandwich and some of the new Lay's Light potato chips (1 point ). Nice to have my chips back occasionally.
Got the windows cleaned inside and out in 5 rooms and made cranberry relish with Splenda this year. I also bought items to make the Killer Recipes Chocoholic's Pie for my son. I'm changing the recipe to use Egg Beaters and Splenda because it's definitely a "killer" with all the eggs and sugar in the original recipe.
Having a bowl of 1-point Progresso soup tonight with a mini-wheat bagel and Weight Watchers cream cheese. I have enough points left for 2 bagels, but we'll see. I might save them for some sugar-free hot chocolate while I watch TV.

6 Months 24 Days
Slept wonderfully well with my new Mr. Rooster fan making just the right noise to drowned out all-night traffic. Sipped on a smoothie but would really like something hot. May make a pot of coffee. Planning to hit the outdoors once it warms up a little bit.
Ate a spinach and pear salad for lunch.
We went to Logan's Roadhouse and I got another salad with grilled chicken, craisins, and walnuts. Very good.

Had a bowl of cereal with grapes. Now drinking a cup of coffee. Didn't walk this morning. PIcking up one grandson in a little while and another is being dropped off later. I'm transporting them to their father who'll take them to the hunting cabin.
Ate a spinach salad for lunch with some 1 point crackers.
Had progresso 1 point soup and a turkey on wheat sandwich for supper. I don't like the dark at 6 pm. Makes for a long evening. I'm trying to leave off all snacks and this time makes it more difficult. I need to try to eat later if I can wait that long.

I'm in a better mood this morning and my weight is down 3 pounds! Maybe I should be angry more often. LOL. Anyway, had a mini wheat bagel with turkey bacon and WW cream cheese. I think I'll try a sandwich for lunch since it's fairly warm here and I'm doing a lot of DEEP cleaning in preparation for decorating next week.
Had a wonderful 2-mile bike ride this morning.
Ate turkey on wheat for lunch.
Had dinner out with sister-in-law and neice. Got a salad with some steak on top. Very good.

6 Months 21 Days: Weigh-in
Had a bagel with cream cheese and coffee before heading for weigh-in. I was up .8 and glad it wasn't more than that after several "bad" meals this week. I plan to drop that .8 this coming week, before indulging in Thanksgiving with good choices.
Had chicken tenders for lunch.
Cooking pork chops, rutabagas, and sweet potatoes for supper. Then hitting the soup and yogurt hard with no snacks.
Hubby came in and asked me about weigh-in, like he does every Wed. I told him I was up a few ounces and his response: "It's all those ice cream sandwiches you're eating." I can't write what I said to him, but I'm hurt. He left to hunt until after dark. I fried the shit out of the pork chops. He can have them. Pissed does not begin to cover it...

Had a bowl of cereal with grapes. We've removed everything from the kitchen except the huge fridge and are now waiting for the new floor to be installed. Ready for the men to get here and get it done because it'll take the rest of the day to get everything back in place. At least I've given all of it a thorough cleaning.

We're planning to have brunch before heading to Wilmington for a memorial service at 1 pm. Not sure what we'll eat. Just had a cup of coffee for now. We figured we go out with a bunch of the Boys of Summer after the service.
Had mini bagels with WW cream cheese.
AFter memorial service, we ended up at Cracker Barrel and had chicken and rice with turnip greens and apples. Hubby bought a pecan pie. We came home and ate a little with WW fat free whipped cream. Sure I'm over my points.

GOOD friend came over and set up my new laptop with dockingt station. Had to run out and buy a new keyboard and I'm going to have to get used to it. It curves and the old one didn't.
Ate a bowl of clam chowder after 1 pm.
Hubby came in with shrimp. I boiled them, fixed him corn on the cob, and made us salads. Yummy!

After eating far too much meat yesterday, my weight is up. I knew it would be. As soon as it warms up a few degrees outside, I'm off to bike and walk. Maybe trek.
Had a bowl of high fiber cereal with grapes for breakfast.
Ate a turkey sandwich for an early lunch before going to town.
Finished last night's leftovers. Fillling foods: carrots and cauliflower. Stuffed. Drank hot cider with it because I've been chilled all day. What's up with that?

6 Months 14 Days: Weigh-In
Ate a small yogurt and headed off to weigh. Since I lost 2 1/2 pounds last week, I'm a little apprehensive.
Lost .6! Was so excited! Our fearless leader talked to us about how to get through Thanksgiving without regressing. I CAN DO THIS! We start the revised Weight Watchers on December 1st for our group. I understand it's about the fruits and veggies, but that's all I know. Hope it's not going to take things away from me...
Rode with hubby back to town and we ate BBQ and fried chicken. I'll eat light tonight because it was too good to pass up.
I did NOT eat light tonight. Had thawed hamburger and grilled it with onions, carrots, and cauliflower. I'm stuffed! Why did I eat all that? I"m 4 pounds from half way to my goal. I can't do this kind of stuff.

Slept well and just ate a mini wheat bagel and Weight Watchers cream cheese with coffee. I'm going to edit for a while and then head to the dentist for that permanent (I hope!) crown. I have come to dread going there because they can't seem to get through with that tooth!
Got the crown cemented on and I hope it stays put with no interferences of any kind. Ate a roast beef on wheat for lunch. Scared to eat an apple or drink hot soup right now.
At supper time, my tooth was still bothering me, not to mention my sore ta-tas from the mammogram. I had a bowl of clam chowder (1 point) and a mini wheat bagel with peanut butter.

6 Months 12 Days
Had a smoothie and when the painter came to paint the ceilings, I had to leave or get sick.
Early lunch was a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit from Hardee's. Overcooked biscuit, barely any bacon and cheese so I have no idea what the points are.
Now I'm freezing with all the windows open to get the smell out before dark. Wish that wind wasn't so cold. The ceilings look great though.
Fixed myself a steaming bowl of Progresso 1-point clam chowder and 15 herb crackers (2 points). Hit the spot and warmed me up. I still have points left too.

6 Months 11 Days
Had a mini wheat bagel and WW cream cheese with coffee. Then I tried on an array of old 1X clothes, all long dresses falling over my feet like a theatre curtain! Ha! So now there's a huge pile of beautiful clothes I can no longer wear on my bed to be bagged up for another trip to GoodWill. Who knew I had so many clothes? I'm also giving away some wool blazers and my all time favorite jacket because they fall straight from the shoulder and make me look 10-15 pounds heavier than I am. I'm not doing all this work to look fat, that's for sure! So I hugged the jacket and put it in the pile.
Did I tell you I bought a beautiful new black suit yesterday at JCP for $35? Incredible! Also have a new pair of classic cut jeans in size 16, not 16W, 16. I've been wearing the boot cut jeans for years because I was told they make you look slimmer. I don't believe it.
Hubby is grilling fish for the entire family for lunch. It's too cold to eat outside though. I ate 5 shrimp and tasted the fish but I didn't like that. Ate slaw, steamed carrots, and corn bread, my vice for today.
Ate a chicken salad tomato wrap and half and apple. Now I'm loaded with gas and not sure why. So tired of the gas thing. Is everyone else experiencing so much gas?

Ate a bowl of cereal with grapes and headed to the JCPenney sale.
Bought a new black suit. Really good looking in a smaller sze;-))
Picked up a Wendy's chicken sandwich with fries....I know, I've been bad.
Daughter-in-law asked me to ride with her to Greenville, where I bought new straight leg jeans!!! No more baggy butt! We ate at TK Tripp's. A great Asian salad. Couldn't feel too guilty about that. We saw the most beautiful rainbow and it lasted for over half and hour. Wow!

Wow!

Did not sleep well. I stayed cold for some reason even after having soup twice yesterday. LOL. Anyway, I had cereal with grapes for breakfast. Loaded the dog to go for a long trek but the track was filled with ROTC cadets in sweats. Duke enjoyed the ride and I'm working out with light weights in the house.
We're having some homemade chicken salad for lunch and then we're off to Clyde King's funeral, probably the biggest funeral we've ever had here. We need to be in the church early. Clyde touched thousands of lives. He will be missed. His wife, Norma, is my cousin. I fought with my suit through the entire funeral. Another one too big, so it's time to go shopping agin.:-)
Came home from the funeral hungry. Drank some wine with crackers and cheese. Wine went straight to my head :-)
Since hubby has to stay with his mother, I think I'll have more chicken salad once I'm hungry again.
Had a chicken salad sandwich and an apple. Still have point left.

This morning I had a bowl of oatmeal with prunes and a cup of coffee. I'd forgotten how good oatmeal is.
For lunch, I had 1-point Progresso soup and some herb crackers (15=2 points!) and they're very good. I also ate a cold crisp apple.
Since it's a cold rainy day, I fixed a kettle of homemade vegetable soup. The kids are stopping by to get some after work. I try to avoid the potatoes, corn, and beans and eat carrots, onions, and the wonderful broth. It smells divine, if I say so myself.

6 Months 7 Days: Weigh-In
I'm having my coffee and yogurt and then off to weigh. I'm down on my scales. Hope I am on theirs.
Wow! I lost 2.4 pounds!!!! I was so excited. Got another 5 pound star and lots of praise from Maria, our fearless leader. Now to add 3 beads to my necklace...
I passed Starkbuck's, BoJangle's and a local BBQ place on the way home. Ate a bowl of Progresso soup and some crackers.
Had a chocolate pudding for a snack to celebrate my loss.
Fixed salmon in the oven, slaw, and my sin, a small sweet potato with sprinkle of REAL brown sugar.

I had yogurt and coffee before I went to vote.
Ate Italian Vegetable Soup (0 points!) with a bagel and WW cream cheese.
In the afternoons when I start searching the kitchen for a snack, I'm going to my favorite chair to read. I have a huge basket of books to keep me going for a while. Before I know it, it's supper time and I haven't snacked! If I can keep this up through the holiday season, I'll be so proud of myself.
Decided to have Progresso Clam Chowder (1 delicious point!) and a grilled cheese (1/2 the fat) on wheat. I have plenty of points left for some hot cider and maybe something else later.

This morning I had a blueberry bagel with cream cheese and coffee. Does it get any better?
A man is coming to measure the kitchen for new flooring before Thanksgiving. It's been a long time coming.
Finished the tuna salad with a few crackers for lunch.
Made myself a huge veggie salad for supper. Wonderful!

I'm so busy with stuff that I'm not getting to my Grazer's Anonymous blog like I should.
I had multigrain toast with WW cream cheese and coffee this morning.
For lunch, I had a tuna salad sandwich and shared an apple with hubby.
I had NO SNACKS of any kind this afternoon! WOOT TOOT!
Son and daughter-in-law had me over for stew beef. I took some creamed cauliflower to eat with it and had a small sweet potato with Butter Buds. Drank water. Very good stew.

I went for a walk in the crisp cool air and then showered to head to dance.
Drank a strawberry smoothie. Went to dance (16 miles away). My cohorts, who suggested dance classes to begin with, didn't show up...again. So, I tried but realized that since I hadn't been in several weeks, I was lost. Apparently I'm supposed to go on Tuesday nights and Friday mornings to learn the dances. I left because I felt foolish and in the way. I prefer outside activities anyway. I have the cheat sheets from the first week I went and I can do those on the back deck to my own music. Not going back. It was interfering with my Friday mornings too, so since I walk, trek, and bike, I'm not going to pursue it.
I'm hungry now but I think I can make it another 45 minutes or so.
Ate a ham sandwich with snack mix and V8.
Now drinking a huge glass of water while I blog.
My daughter-in-law and I went to Outback for dinner. I got salmon and steamed veggies. Delicious! I found the sauce they use on Google. Mayo, dill, horseradish. I'm not sure how many points it has, but I dipped my fork in it and then into fish. Only used a fraction of what they gave me. Always ask for sauces and dressings on the side. It makes a big difference.

It's raining and we expect more storms throughout the day. A good time to edit.
Had a bowl of cereal and coffee. I hope I can complete edits today. My new computer is here but I think I'll get this off my list before I switch.
Had Progresso 1 point soup and some snack mix.
We didn't eat supper until 8 pm...long story. Had steak but it was really fat and grisly so the dog got more than we did. I creamed cauliflower and made a salad. Hope I don't have indigestion from eating so late.

Has it been 6 months?
This is the first day of the rest of my life!
I started Weight Watchers six months ago and I've lost almost 30 pounds. Almost. I really wanted to have 30 off by today, but hey, I'm still happy about my loss. I'm heading out to weigh, hoping I'm not up after Homecoming and a few bad choices this week. And isn't it all about choices?
My weight was up, and I know I made some bad choices through the week. I didn't drink enough water, and I ate too many snacks of some sort. Even the WW snacks can become a bad habit. I vow to be down next Wednesday! I'm not planning to buy any ice cream sandwiches this week. The 100 calorie snack mix I bought is not as good as what I've been getting, so maybe I can leave that alone. For Trick or Treat, I only expect my two grandsons to come and then I'm locking up. They're getting a few things I don't like and an apple. They'll get a gallon of crap somewhere else.
Had a wonderfu mug of WW 1 point Clam Chowder. It's awesome! Had crackers and peanut butter with it.

Blueberry yogurt and a short walk between showers.
The yogurt didn't hold me, so I had a small amount of cereal with grapes and Half and Half. Looks like a stormy day ahead.

Month 5 Week 4 Day 5
Had a bowl of cereal with grapes. Coffee is on. I have to bake a green bean casserole and shower.
Took grandsons with me to church Homecoming. Ate a small piece of baked turkey, dressing, green beans, and part of a ham biscuit (too tough to eat all of it). I got a sliver of coconut cake and a couple bites of a chocolate cake. You know, neither of them were that great to me, and they were homemade. Must be losing my sweet tooth:-)

Month 5 Week 4 Day 4
38 degrees at wake-up! Wow! Had a bagel and cream cheese with coffee. Since my tech friend is coming to help me with computer stuff, I told Duke we'd walk later. He and I both need it and it's a beautiful day, indeed.
I'm planning to take Mary to Roseli's for lunch. I'll get a salad and pay for both. She's saved me so much money on tech support.
Hubby is grilling fish he was supposed to do last night today at son's house. I don't mind missing that. I'm really not a big fish fan.
I'm keeping two of my grandsons tonight so we've ordered out...mine is a different kind of salad. The boys are going with me to Homecoming tomorrow.

Month5 Week 4 Day 3
Drank about 1/3 cup of hot cider and took dog to vet for a checkup. He's gained weight and it's my fault. Now I have to get his weight off while losing more myself.
Missed my dance class AGAIN. It was in the wrong direction at the wrong time for me this morning. It's so pretty outside maybe I can get a good walk or bike ride in.
Had a turkey spinach wrap with a mug of tomato soup for lunch. Hubby is grilling fish for tonight. Not that crazy about it but I'll do it.
Hubby went hunting and didn't grill fish so I threw together a Lean Cuisine and some leftover wild rice from last night. Ate a WW ice cream sandwich, chocolate on chocolate. Good stuff!
I plan to get in a good walk in the morning even though it'll be chilly. My dog and I are both trying to lose weight.

Month 5 Week 4 Day 2
Having bagel, WW cream cheese and a cup of coffee this foggy morning. Plan to walk as soon as the fog lifts and then make a few calls, move all documents from old computer to external hard drive, and write some. Huggy coming home tonight!
Had wonderful homemade chicken salad on wheat for lunch with a V-8. Super! Now back to editing.
Grilled salmon with wild rice for supper. Delicious but now the house stinks!

Month 5 Week 4 Day 1 Weigh-In
Had a mini wheat bagel and cream cheese with coffee. Weighed in. Lost 1/2 pound this week! Stayed for meeting, got hair cut, and picked up grandson. I had a Starbucks latte and scone for lunch.
Picked up grandson from school.
Daughter-in-law picked up church plates of turkey, dressing, beans, and cranberry sauce. Okay, but turkey was tough. Not much gravy. I'm sure I went over my points today with things I don't know how to figure. Back to the tracking tomorrow.

Month 5 Week 3 Day 5
Got up after a good night's sleep and ate a bowl of cereal with a banana. Piled on clothes and went walking. Soon removed some of clothing. Thought it was cooler than it was. Nice morning to power walk, emphasis on POWER!
I'm actually cooking lunch and I'm excited to have a good "meal" instead of an entree and salad or just a salad. I'm a little tired of lettuce at this point.
Cooking pork chops and steaming garden peas. Will fry okra...yes, I know, but that's the only way I'll eat it. It'll be my sin for today since we're going to another reception this afternoon and I won't eat any of that stuff. May take a small snack with me so I don't feel deprived though.
Hubby probably won't want anything after that reception, so I'll eat light tonight.
Reception was small. I ate 2 mini carrots and 2 small pieces of celery with a small glass of lemonade.
We came home and ate pork chop sandwiches, mine on multigrain wheat. Very satisfying.

Month 5 Week 3 Day 4
Had coffee and a mini-bagel with WW cream cheese before going to walk. Glad I took my windbreaker since it was 47 degrees. Gloves felt good since there was a stiff breeze. AH!!! Felt so good.
Came home and listened to my hypnosis audio I'd put on my MP3 a long time ago. It helps me drink water and chew food 20-30 slow chews per bite.
Drank a Hard Rock Cafe glass of water.
Had Progresso Clam Chowder (1 point) with crackers (2 points for 24 !) and a little smear of peanut butter. Great for a cool day.
Had Lean Cuisine Orange Chicken (6 points) with a small salad. Later indulged in a WW ice cream sandwich.

Had cereal with grapes for breakfast. Loaded bike and went to track but ROTC cadets were out there running. Came home.
Had a roast turkey spinach wrap and some snack mix for lunch. Went to get car windshield repaired. I hope it holds.
Had a big salad for supper with an entire JonGold apple cut up on it. Delicious but feeling. Don't need another thing until tomorrow.
Nothing on TV. Bored at 9 pm. Hubby out of town. Guess I'll read more of Nora Roberts' TRIBUTE.

Month 5 Week 3 Day 2
I"m up. Not sure how I feel yet. Tummy is still out of whack. It rained some during the night and fog rolled in. It's only supposed to get into the 70s today so I'll open the windows if I can.
Put on a pot of coffee. Fixed eggs and turkey bacon. The coffee really soothed me. Took dog for a ride but didn't try to walk in the fog.
Baked a few sweet potatoes and ate one with liver pudding, the only way I eat liver. Very good.
Made "pizza" out of spinach wrap, added onion, cheese, Ragu sauce, and bacon. Good but I prefer to use wheat or tomato with this. Drank tomato soup with it. Really too full...

Weigh-In...lost 4 ounces
Drank a smoothie. Have to go weigh in for the first time in two weeks. Hope I maintained during my SC/GA trip.
YIPEEE! I was down 4 ounces after eating out the whole time we were in Hilton Head. Whew! So glad I didn't gain.
I feel so bad that I skipped the meeting, cancelled a much-needed pedicure, and came home. I was supposed to meet friends at a luncheon, but didn't.
Sipped on a Pepsi and just ate a bland turkey sandwich. Maybe that'll help.
Picked up grandson, Casey, again today. Hubby came home with enough fish to fry for supper. I don't think I can eat them.
Hubby fixed me a puffer, very mild and good, with slaw and potatoes. The best thing was cornbread. It seemed to hit the spot but I didn't feel good an hour later. Went to bed early.

Month 5
Got up feeling lousy...upset stomach, nausea, aching all over. Rode the dog but didn't get out and walk. Maybe later.
I just put some bread in the toaster and poured a glass of juice. Hope that makes me feel better. So glad to have the proofs done. Need to shower and go to post office and bank if I can swing it. Supposed to pick up grandson this afternoon. I certainly hope I feel better by then...
Don't have a fever but still not feeling well. I think I'll take it easy today and not write.

Month 5...
Got up and realized it was already 60 degrees! It's supposed to reach 88 today. Threw on some duds, drank some juice, and went for a walk before it gets really hot.
Had a bowl of tasteless cereal with grapes. I'm not buying any more of this stuff. Mostly air.
I have lots of errands to run today so I'm hitting the shower.
Forgot it was Columbus Day so I didn't get the post office stuff done. Didn't drive all the way to the bank either. Anyway, I got Duke a new, soft and clean bed for the winter even though it's 88 degrees here. He'll need it soon.
Had leftover salad from last night and some 100 calorie snack mix.
Just ate a Smart Ones chicken parm with okra and green tea. Not feeling great. Just sent Sin Creek proofs back to publisher, so I'm hitting the couch.

Month 5
I have lost track of what week I'm in since I didn't track while at Hilton Head. Anyway, I drank a smoothie and went for a 2 1/2 mile bike ride on this beautiful morning. Had to wear a sweatshirt and capris.
Bought groceries for the week, but forgot to get some more Weight Watchers ice cream sandwiches. We both love them. Guess I can get by without them.
Made a nice meatless salad for lunch since we're having liver pudding and sweet potato tonight. I can hardly wait for my first sweet tater this year.
Family invited us for homemade lasagna. I took salad. I ate a small square and it was absolutely delicious and made with FULL BLOWN cheese, white noodles and all. So much for good intentions.

Hilton Head trip
We've been in Hilton Head all week with our neice and her husband. I didn't take my tracker but I tried to eat sensibly even as those around me chowed down on hot cinnamon buns, pasta dishes, and quarts of wine to wash it all down. I ate granola bars with coffee for breakfast each morning. Had salads or small turkey sandwiches for lunch, and saved up for the evening meals. I really wanted some salmon but where we went for seafood only had Cajun salmon which I didn't want. Ended up with what was supposed to be "lightly breaded" shrimp and were actually "lightly fried", not done enough. I took my Butter Buds for the baked potato and enjoyed a wonderful bowl of She Crab Soup...wishing I had more. I'm sure that had plenty of points but it was wondermous! Drank water except with seafood, opting for sweet tea with that. I have this thing about drinking water with seafood. Go figure.
Anyway, we're home and I weighed for the first time in a week. Only up a few ounces, probably due to all the walking I did. Power walked the beach and one day we spent in Savannah walking I don't know how many miles. Never did ride a bike on this trip. I'm pleased with how I behaved and I have until Wednesday to remove those ounces. Missed my first weigh-in ever. We were an hour away in Savannah when the meeting took place at Hilton Head. Oh well...
Went to a funeral this morning and then hubby picked us up a hamburger ATW...not very good. Still taste the onions.
Went to Sydney's birthday party (reception) but didn't touch the fried chicken, cheeseballs, meatballs, cake, etc. Drank some water. People I hadn't seen in a while called me "Skinny" but I'm far from that. Still nice they noticed.
Came home and ate a big salad. May have a cup of hot chocolate later.

Month 5 Day 5
Weight was down some more this morning. Woot Toot!
Had a bowl of Cherrios with grapes and 1% milk.
Went to early church wearing my old pantsuit which fits well now and some new jewelry...black agate and garnet.
Helped hubby bag up venison from yesterday's hunt. Got 8 nice packs for the freezer and enough for lunch burgers with a small salad minus cheese. Not sure the points for venison but far less than beef. Had a peach yogurt for dessert. Not as good as the blueberry, but okay.
62 degrees and cloudy. May try to get in a good walk with Duke if the track isn't full of people. Even though I'll get exercise during the week, he won't get much.
Didn't want the other venison burgers so Duke got them after a truck ride. I had Progresso 1 point Clam Choweder. I love that stuff and it's very filling with crackers and a little lite pb.

Month 5 Day 4 55 degrees outside!
Drank some orange juice, took vits.
Got a good bike ride with thicker pants and long sleeve shirt. Felt so good. MP3 battery is dead so I rode with the wind and listened to the leaves rustling. Made a note to buy batteries.
I've opened the house, which needs a good airing, and put on a pot of coffee. Laid out some "fat" clothes for my daughter-in-law to take to a high school student, one a beautiful lined suit that will serve her well for job interviews. I love knowing that somebody in need will get that suit and it will make her day:-)
Going to clean floors today since the deluge has ended. Won't take long for them to dry with the breeze coming in the windows.
Washed some rugs and they're outside drying in the sun and breeze.
Had tuna, not salad, just opened the can, drained it, and ate as much as I could with a few crackers. Duke was happy to dispose of the rest.
Ate a WW ice cream sandwich (2 points). I love those things but hubby does too, so they won't last long.
Reading a new John Sandford book, Rough Country. My kind of book;-]
Cooked some vegetable pasta and warmed up leftover sauce. Toasted last mini bagel to go with it. Not really in the mood for a salad and didn't want to cook broccoli.

Month 5 Day 3
My weight was down considerably this morning. Don't understand how it fluctuates 3-4 pounds in 24 hours. Anyway, it's headed in the right direction. Drank juice and got a power walk in even though I had to trudged through a lot of water to get to the track.
Hubby and I went to the grill for breakfast: 2 eggs, grits, bacon, and toast...the real deal, but since he'll be gone I'll eat more Progresso 1 point soup ormaybe a Smart Ones entree. Good day for soup :-))
Had a tomato wrap for lunch with 100 calorie snack mix.
Since it has warmed up a bit (into the 70s) I went back to the track with my bike but there's a soccer game going on so I'm back home. GORGEOUS DAY!
Not in the mood to edit so I may start reading my new John Sandford book.
Didn't have soup or entree. Made a big salad and it was delish! I'm stuffed.

Month 5 Day 2
Poured rain all night. Pond is now full! Over 11 inches so far. Wow! Certainly can't walk in this. Maybe between showers.
Weight was up more this morning:-(( Guess the spaghetti was a bad idea. Not getting enough exercise either.
Had a mini wheat bagel with WW cream cheese and I'm on my second mug of coffee while I edit Genesis Beach (2nd edition).
Had 2 tomato wraps with light Ragu sauce, a little cheese and a few bacon bits, the closest I can get to a real pizza.
I'm determined not to have anything at all for an afternoon snack. I've got to cut out that mess!
It's a good day for a Progresso 1 point soup! Yep, that's what I'll do for tonight and I'll be ready for it too.

Month 5 Day 1 Weigh-In
I can't believe I've been on Weight Watchers for 5 months and lost nearly 30 pounds. It hasn't been difficult at all. In fact, it's been fairly easy once I figured out good point choices. I'm certainly eating healthy things and exercising so much more. I feel great and hubby and family say I look great too. I enjoyed the line dancing class last night although I didn't do well on the third song because it was so fast. Yikes! Knees are a little sore but working. So nice to have pals Kaye and Janet join me.
Ate a blueberry cheesecake yogurt for breakfast. Felt like cheating but it wasn't:-))
Even after line dancing last night and eating very light yesterday, I'm up .4! SERIOUSLY? I'm very disappointed right now. Hope I'm at least losing inches. Stopped to get a flu shot and gave up after waiting an hour.
Hubby coming home today in heavy rain. Praying that he has a safe trip.
Just put some ground turkey on to make sauce to serve with some kind of vegetable noodle tonight.
Now, back to work on book edits!
I was so glad to see hubby. Spaghetti was delicious with a pear salad and FRIED OKRA! Okay, that was bad, but it's the VERY last for this year, so there!

Week 19 Day 7
Drank a smoothie and biked over two miles. The rain stopped and the sun is out.
Showered abd went to JCPenney to see if they had the Liz jeans I like. They didn't, but I did find a gorgeous top I can take to Hilton Head. Looks great alone or under my jeans jacket. Bought a colorful bead necklace and 3 pairs of earrings, all on sale. Still wearing the jeans that are too loose in the behind and crotch.
Ate 2 chicken strips and gave the dog one. He loved it!
Boiled eggs to have in tossed salad before I go line dancing for the first time in 25 years!

Week 19 Day 6
Raining! Boy, do we need it.
Had eggs and turkey bacon (fresh pack) with a cup of coffee.
Staying in but may be able to walk between showers. We'll see.
Warmed Progresso Vegetable Beef Soup (1 point) for lunch. Mostly broth but very good for a point. Had a few peanut butter crackers with it on this dark rainy day. Perfect!
Fixed a Lean Cuisine Tuscan chicken entree (5 points) with creamed cauliflower and V8 juice. It was better than it smelled, but I probably won't buy that one again. Cauliflower was filling and juice a good beverage with it.
I have points left over for a snack of some kind later.

Week 19 Day 5
Peeked out the window to see if it had actually rained during the night. It hadn't. Drank some cranapple juice and had a 2 1/2 mile bike ride even though it was 76 degrees. Where's the cooler air and rain?
Came home and had a WW 1 point yogurt with a little cereal added.
Finished the stir-fry from last night. So good. Drank coffee with it. I've been told to drink something hot with pasta dishes and fatty foods. Helps melt away the bad stuff? Let's hope so.
It's finally raining and has cooled down to 74 degrees from upper 80s. YES!
Went to 16th birthday dinner for great-neice. Had to chicken legs, some beans and half a piece of ice cream cake. I didn't need any of that but there were no good choices. At least I didn't eat taters, BBQ and all the cake I wanted.

Week 19 Day 4
Drank some cranapple juice and went for a walk. Not too humid this morning. Weather experts promise this is the last day of 90-degree weather. We can only hope.
Drinking ice water now and hungry because I forgot to eat breakfast. At this point (10:41), I'm waiting for lunch. I bought some tomato and spinach wraps so I'll either have a turkey wrap or make a "pizza" since I have some fat-free pizza sauce that needs to be used. I need to shop the pantry this week and use some items that are nearing expiration date before purchasing anything else. I have Smart Ones I need to sort through as well.
Made 2 tomato wrap "pizzas" for lunch but didn't have anything but the Ragu sauce, Laughing Cow Babybels and turkey bacon. OMG! The bacon was rancid! HOrrible! Pulled it off and ate the rest. Now nibbling on 100-calorie Oreo crisps to get that bad taste outta my mouth. UGH!
Instead of a salad with steak I made a stir-fry and it was delicious. I have enough for lunch tomorrow.
Had a cup of chai latte and a Vitamuffin while watching a movie.

Week 19 Day 3
Drank cranapple juice and went for walk with weights even though it was 70 degrees early. When did they say Fall was coming? It certainly isn't here yet.
Came home and drank some milk with a granola bar.
Having lunch with a friend. Planning to get a salad. I'm dropping off another bag of fat clothes to Good Will.
Hubby wants steak for supper.
Grilled ribeyes and I ate half of mine (saving rest for tomorrow) with a salad and cauliflower. Hubby stewed some mountain apples and I ate some of those. Couldn't resist. Must exercise now!

Week 19 Day 2
Had yogurt for breakfast and took dog for a truck ride.
Showered and took neice her 16th birthday present and then on to shop and lunch with an old friend.
Ended up with chicken strips and honey mustard. Guess that's better than a big bun full of condiments and fries.
Hubby and I are having leftover pheasant tonight with a salad. He can have the wheat pastry and I may cream the cauliflower too.
Made a salad and put warmed pheasant over creamed cauliflower. Talk about filling food! I feel like I ate a water buffalo!

Week 19 Day 1 Weigh-In
Slept late. Drank some cranapple juice and showered to go to weigh.
Lost 1.4 pounds even with the wrong things over the anniversary weekend. I guess all the extra activities did pay off. WOOT TOOT!
Ate a sandwich for lunch with a snack pack of chips.
Cooked pheasant with wheat pastry strips, butterbeans, okra, and cornbread. Only had a little of each. Now to get back on track!

Week 18 Day 7
Okay, I think I'm back on track with my days. I'm so glad my temp crown is back in place. That was no fun. I had yogurt with a tiny bit of cereal in it and rode me bike 2 1/2 miles in the nice cool air. It's supposed to get hot this afternoon, but I'm really enjoying these cool mornings. Came home and deadheaded the roses and cut pink and yellow buds to bring inside. They may be the last of the season.
I have Dominoes tonight and she's serving hot dogs so I plan to eat before I go. Think I'll have a Smart Ones since I have several to choose from. May pack a few carrot and celery sticks to enjoy while the others munch on chips, dips, etc. My mouth is still a little sensitive so I'll eat on the right side.

Anniversary Mountain Trip
I've been away for a while with hubby on our 43rd anniversary. We went to a cabin in West Jefferson and had a great time. It was much cooler there and we played golf, canoed, went to a street concert, and visited an old friend. I have to admit I didn't take my tracker. I wanted to simply relax and not worry about weight. I weighed this morning and I'm up one pound, but Hey! I enjoyed it. I drank sweet tea and should have had water. I ate a piece of cheesecake shared with hubby. I had fried chicken and a few french fries. Not many choices in the remote mountains, but I got plenty of exercise climbing around on the fairways and up to the greens. Our canoe trip was 1 1/2 hours of constant paddling, so I'm sore in a few places, but it was gorgeous on the river. The water was so low we had to push off the boulders several times.
I rode my bike two miles this morning after some juice and a Nutrigrain bar.
I think I'll have a sandwich for lunch. My temporary crown flossed out last night so I'll go to the dentist this afternoon. Must be careful what I eat until that's fixed.
I had a bowl of Clam Chowder, only 1 Weight Watchers point! Delicious with a mini-bagel and WW cream cheese. Very good.

Week 19 Day 1 Weigh-In
Hard to believe I've been on the Weight Watchers program for 19 weeks. Drank a small oj and biked 2 1/2 miles. The weather was wonderul even though it's predicted to get into the 90s once again.
Had a strawberry smoothie and now to shower and go get the week's verdict.
Up .4! Geez! I'm not going to beat myself up since many of my clothes are too big so I'm obviously losing inches. Went to Schlotsky's with my neice and the gal in there said "smoked turkey on wheat" was 6 WW points, so I got that. Very good.

Had a peach yogurt and walked with dog. Nice morning.
Ate leftover tuna salad for lunch, on a plate, not in a sandwich.
Ate a 100-calorie pack of snack mix about 3:30. I have to stop eating between meals! Sigh
Grilled pork chops. Only ate one with leftover cauliflower and a few of hubby's wonderful pickles.

Week 18 Day 6
Had yogurt and went back to dentist for routine cleaning. Then took book posters to some folks who're helping sell cookbooks.
Found Progresso soups at store for one point! Got 4 cans of Clam Chowder. I hope they're good.
Ate a sandwich for lunch with an apple and caramel.
Later ate some crackers and a BabyBel.
Hubby had a huge lunch and didn't want me to cook. I grilled a turkey burger and ate leftover cauliflower and fried okra. I've got to stop eating okra...too many points.
Had a nice cup of hot green tea and a WW ice cream.

Week 18 Day 5
Didn't sleep well. Hubby snored the entire night! Had strong coffee and yogurt for breakfast.
Family is coming for lunch. Hubby frying fish and shrimp. Not planning to eat any fish but he lightly batters shrimp so I'll have a few of those. Boiled potatoes and creamed cauliflower. He made slaw and I'm frying okra because we all love it and this'll be its last Hooray for this year.
Ate a fudsicle mid-afternoon to get the shrimp taste out of my mouth.
Ate some leftover bbq but getting tired of it. Won't put it back in fridge. Warmed some cauliflower to go with it. Hubby not feeling well. Didn't eat.

Week 18 Day 4
Drank some juice, grabbed the trekking poles and loaded Duke in the truck. I walked the stadium stairs a few times and did deep knee bends. That got my heart rate up in a hurry. Stairs always do. Then I headed over to the track with my trekking poles. I did interval walking/trekking. Great workout! I feel wonderful! Going to try to go through all post-it-notes in my office today and get rid of them. Opened the windows for the cool breeze to enter my domain. Life is good.
Made and ate my first homemade spring rolls for lunch. Substituted broccoli slaw for rice noodles, made all vegetarian, and rolled in one wrapper. A few of them tore. Popped in oven to crisp but didn't leave in long enough. Good but not enough salt. Should have used more Hoison sauce I suppose. Still better than the authentic ones I bought earlier this week. I'll keep working on it until I get the right mix. I know I need a binder like ground turkey or shrimp and some chopped peanuts or something like that. I ate three spring rolls. I can already tell I'll be hungry again in an hour.
Ate several things this afternoon: an apple with sugar-free caramel, some cheese and crackers
Made tuna salad for supper and baked us a potato. Butter Buds on mine. I love the Albacore in water. So much better than that stuff that looks pre-chewed.

Week 18 Day 3
Had strawberry smoothie for breakfast and went to 9/11 memorial at local high school. Moving. Most of these kids are too young to remember much. Also sold a few copies of Killer Recipes while I was there.
Since hubby had a working lunch, I went to the grill and got fried chicken. I know. Slap me.
Played in the yard with Duke and deadheaded the roses.
Hubby gone so I ate the second piece of chicken with an apple.
Biked 2 1/2 miles to make up for being so bad today.

Week 18 Day 2
Had Activia Blueberry Cheesecake yogurt for breakfast. YUMMY!
Rode bike 2 3/4 miles. Now for something cold and wet.
Had a salad for lunch with very few ingredients.
Ate a few boiled peanuts. I love those things!
Thawed some barbecue for supper thinking hubby would be here. He wasn't the dog enjoyed a good size portion.

Week 18 Day 1 Weigh-In
Drank a chocolate smoothie and headed to weigh in.
Lost 1/2 pound so I recouped what I gained last week (.2) and more. I can tell I'm losing inches since I walked on my slacks. :-)
Ran errands and got a pedicure. Love this color! Bought 2 Vietnamese spring rolls, but they don't taste anything like I remembered from years ago. I only ate one. Not bad, but rather bland. I think I can come up with my own mixture of broccoli slaw, onion, Hoison sauce, rice noodles in the rice paper. They steamed theirs and I didn't like the texture. I'm going to try popping them in the oven. Have no idea how to figure points, mainly rice items.
Ate 4 tiny chicken strips.
Hubby had a big lunch so we're having a chef salad for tonight.

Week 17 Day 7
Ate a bowl of cereal with grapes.
Went to dentist for megadental work. Took over 3 hours. Just got home and not sure I can eat much of anything. Still numb. May try to eat leftover tuna from last night, take some Ibuprofen, and hit the couch.
Slept for an hour until phone rang.
Ate some sugar-free chocolate pudding to get the bad taste out of my mouth. Didn't work.
Had a WW ice cream sandwich, cut into tiny triangles. Still the bad taste.
Had low-sodium soup and a cheese sandwich for supper.
Went to dentist for megadental work. Took over 3 hours. Just got home and not sure I can eat much of anything. Still numb. May try to eat leftover tuna from last night, take some Ibuprofen, and hit the couch.

Week 17 Day 6
Drank a chocolate shake and walked. I added a few rounds on the football bleachers for my knees and did a few deep knee bends at the top. We'll see how I feel in the morning.
Took my nephew to lunch for his birthday. Went to Logan's and I got a grilled chicken salad. Had a hard time finding any chicken.
Came home and ate a WW chocolate pretzel (1 point).Later ate some cheese and crackers.
Had tuna salad on lettuce with applesauce and grapes for supper.

Week 17 Day 5
Got up, opened some windows and let the wonderful cool air inside. Dressed and rode my bike for 3 miles. Felt so good.
Came home and read the newspaper article about my cookbook while I ate a bowl of high-fiber cereal.
We had boiled shrimp for lunch with slaw and we shared a baked potato. I put Butter Buds on my half.
Ate a Weight Watchers ice cream sandwich. They are SO good and only 2 points.
Ate Smart Ones lasagna (6 points). I usually buy the vegetable ones but this one is meat. Had carrot and celery sticks with it. Very filling. I made a peach and Cool Whip Free parfait to have later.

Week 17 Day 4
I'm getting so busy with my writing promotions that I'm forgetting to blog about my day. Even though my Day 3 is in my tracker, I'm too lazy to go and get it.
Drank a chocolate shake (3 points) and walked a mile and 1/2. Where's the cooler air we were supposed to get? I'm still proud that I was able to add the other 1/2 mile back. It's been a while. Don't want to drop below that anymore. Goal is to ramp up. Football bleachers are my next goal, walking up and down them a few times. My knees and heart need the push.
Ate the last tomato wrap with the last luncheon meat for lunch with the last of the chips.
Hubby grilled a small package of ribs I'd simmered until tender. I nuked some tiny sweet potatoes but they weren't good. Not sweet and very dry. Fried some okra to go with it, my vice for the day.
I didn't eat anything after supper because we ate late and I really wasn't hungry.

Week 17 Day 2
Of course my weight is up this morning and I didn't sleep well due to Thai indigestion or something of the sort. Drank a strawberry shake and I'm off to an appointment.
Had a large salad when I got home. Hubby wasn't hungry because he had a big breakfast.
Hurricane Earl lurks.
It is now Saturday and I didn't come back and write down what I ate. I don't suppose it matters since I'm the only one reading it. It's in my tracker, and that's what counts.

Week 17 Day 1 Weigh-In :(
Drank a chocolate smoothie.
Weighed. I was up .2 and this upset me terribly. I don't understand how I ate a few wrong things last week and lost and got more exercise and ate right this week and gained. Go figure!
Met a friend for lunch and we ate Thai. Yes, apparently this is Thai week for me.
We're having steak tonight with a few shrimp on the grill, along with baked potato, salad, and Pumpernickel bread (I may use Butter Pam). I don't know how many points I had for lunch but only ate 1/3 of it, so I hope I can stay within reason. Added a glass of Black River Red to my meal. Haven't had wine in 16 weeks. Good stuff!

Week 16 Day 7
Weight is finally down this morning. Drank my last Special K protein shake and biked 2 1/2 miles. Nice outside.
Contemplating getting the clubs and heading out alone for 9 holes.
Salad for lunch.
Made a Thai concoction for supper. Spicy

Week 16 Day 6
I can't seem to get my weight moving downward! So aggravating!
Had a small yogurt and went to the dentist.
For lunch, I ate a ham/turkey tomato wrap and a Laughing Cow Lite Babybel cheese with water.
Made some Thai for supper with a small piece of chicken, some shredded carrots, and leftover green beans. Filling enough left for lunch tomorrow.
I decided to forego anything after dinner and went to bed early because I was a zombie.

Week 16 Day 5?
Can't believe how fast time is moving. Anyway, I rode my bike a mile and walked 1/2 mile this morning. 66 degrees. I'm loving it.
Eating a small bowl of cereal with grapes.
Had a ham/turkey tomato wrap for lunch with a few blu corn chips and Bang! Bang! cheese sauce. That should rev my metabolism for sure. Whew!
Grilled some marinated chicken breasts, cooked green beans and small baked potatoes for hubby, grandson, and me. I'm stuffed.

Went for a bike ride. No breeze but not as hot. Some humidity. Came home and ate a bowl of cereal with grapes.
Hubby and I ate tuna salad for lunch with a few 1 point crackers.
Had a salad with some strips of steak tonight. Later drank some coffee with a Vitamuffin (chocomint)

Week 16 Day 2
Had a Special K chocolate drink before I went biking. Okay but nothing to write home about. The Slim Fast shakes are much larger for the same points.
Went for bike ride. I can tell it's been too long. Didn't last as long as I'd planned.
Ate a salad for lunch.
Back to outlining the next novel. I'm finding that I forget to post to Grazers Anonymous some times. Where's my discipline?
Drank 2/3 large mug of soup broth and gave dog the veggies. He loves them! Had cheese on wheat toast with it.
Just finished the blueberry pie I made with fat-free condensed milk and non-fat Cool Whip. Yummy and pretty much guilt-free.

Week 16 Day 1 Weigh-In
So I have been on the Weight Watchers program for four months now. Hard to believe.
Ate WW key lime pie yogurt @ 1 point.
Weighed .4 less than last week and that's with trip to Nashville and eating a few of the wrong things. I am delighted that I lost and didn't gain. Got 16-week charm. What am I supposed to do with these things?
so I've lost 26 pounds in four months. I guess that's good but I'd really like to move along at a faster clip. I know that taking it off slowly will help keep it off tough, so I'll just be a tortoise about it:-+
Had more soup broth for lunch with crackers.
Ate a few almonds mid-afternoon.
Thawed enough of hubby's wonderful BBQ for tonight and warmed leftover noodles with Pam Butter spray. Added fried okra, my worse vice of the day.
Saving a few points for the last of the berry pie later.

Week 15 Day 7
Took 3 grandsons to play golf after stopping at McDonald's for juice and biscuit.
Ate a salad for lunch.
Had a WW fudge bar mid-afternoon.
Hubby is making a huge pot of vegetable soup. It's loaded with butterbeans, corn, and potatoes, so I'll let everyone go ahead of me and then get a bowl of broth and maybe toast or crackers.
I have a bad headache.
Enjoyed the soup broth with some cheese toast and a piece of fresh blueberry pie: fresh berries with Cool Whip Free and Fat-free Eagle Brand milk in a graham cracker crust. Not sure about points, but certainly better than my original recipe.

Week 15 Day 6
We got home late last night. My weight is up because from Thursday until Monday I was not tracking points. I tried to be careful, but eventually blew it. I consider this my "off week" of the year. So, it's time for confessions.
Early Thursday morning (we were on the road by 6am) we decided to get up the road and stop for "brunch". I did well with that and we ate an apple mid-afternoon. Once we checked into the hotel, we stopped to refuel before going to a baseball game. I knew better than to eat hot dogs and cheese and chips at the game. We both ordered filet mignon, salad, and baked potato, my hubby sweet and mine traditional white. Hubby enjoyed his. My salad was good, and I must confess I ate the warm yeast roll, which turned out to be the best thing I had. I sent my steak back twice and finally gave up on it. It was still bleeding! USgh!
Friday morning hubby went down to Starbuck's with me and yes, I got a Chai Tea Latte. We split a muffin. Friday was my busiest day at Killer Nashville, so I got along fine. Had lunch at the hotel with 9 other writers. My Monte Christo sandwich was delicious and I chose fruit with it.
At 7 pm, we drove to the Killer Nashville coctail party at founder, Clay Stafford's gorgeous new home. I did well, choosing boiled shrimp, smoked salmon, and things like that with water. However, I did eat a small quiche thingy and a couple of wonderful meatballs.
Saturday, hubby and I went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast since I didn't have anything major to attend that morning. I ate Eggbeaters, grits, a huge biscuit (no jam), and those divine apples. I knew I was slipping, but I couldn't help myself, and I really did want to enjoy the time with hubby and food. Stuffed!
Then my cousin called that she and her husband were picking us up for lunch. We told them we'd had a large breakfast, so we went to Noshville so Chuck could get some lunch. Cuz talked us into having a slice of NYC cheesecake. Turned out to be a SLAB that hubby and I shared. It was without a doubt the best cheesecake I've ever eaten. So rich we took part of it back to the cooler in our room.
I attended the banquet on Saturday night, but was so disappointed in the $75 meal. I did enjoy the salmon, but at 8:30 pm I was about to eat the legs off the table. They served cheesecake too, but hey! No comparison to what I'd had.
Sunday morning, we gathered up and left to head east. Hubby pulled into another Cracker Barrell and we loaded up so we didn't have to stop for lunch. Stopped about 6:30 pm for FRIED chicken hubby was craving because I never fry it at home. Okay, good stuff.
This morning, my weight was up but not quite as bad as I thought it would be. Today and tomorrow I must MOVE and TRACK and try to get this off before it nestles in tight.
Just drank a Special K chocolate drink but for the 3 points I'd rather have a Slim Fast which is much better and much larger.
Thawed turkey spaghetti sauce and ate a little with some corn chips (12= 3 points). Hubby and grandsons went to the grill.

Week 15 Day 1 Weigh-In
Good morning! I slept fairly well and even though it's 76 degrees early this morning. I'm fixing a pot of coffee. Not sure what I'll have with it. Maybe yogurt.
When I go to weigh and meet, I may stop by a boutique and see if they have a cute capri set I can take on my trip, not that I need clothes, but hey! Something new is always nice. I still need to finish packing and I haven't completed the novel I want Jeffrey Deaver to autograph, but I don't guess that matters.
Disappointed that I maintained. I know I shouldn't beat myself up since I didn't gain, and I know the .0 is due to lack of exercise. That really does make a difference but I live 16 miles from an inside track, and this heat is more than I can endure. Hopefully the temps will drop and stay down in a few weeks. Once school starts next week, the football team will practice after school rather than early in the morning and I can have the track backk. Looking so forward to that. I'm taking my walking shoes in case hubby and I can go for walks in Nashville. He'll get plenty of exercise playing golf while I'm in sessions, but he's such a sweetie, he'll walk with me unless there's a good ball game.
Made "pizza" out of wheat wraps that needed to be used and Light Ragu sauce, added some onion, cheese, and bacon bits. In 375 degree oven for 7 minutes. Crispy and satisfying. Not bad at all.
Not sure what I'l have tonight. I might do lettuce wraps to finish up the lettuce or maybe a Smart Ones entree. I'll be away and unable to blog during my trip since I'm low-tech and all:-\
Packed and pretty much ready to go.

Week 14 Day 7 Dominoes Night
Had cereal with fresh peach and just enough milk to cover.
Bought several 1 point snacks to take on trip so I won't be bad.
For lunch I ate a sandwich on very very thin sandwich bread, thawed so I didn't have to buy bread before leaving.
Had a small potato with spaghetti sauce over it. Delish and filling so I won't eat all the junk tonight. Planning to drink water in a wine glass also:-+
(I just discovered that I posted two Grazers Anonymous blogs on my writing blog! ARRRGHH! Deleted them but can't remember what all was on them.) Since I'd already had supper, I grazed on carrots, celery, and a few of those very thin pretzel things like WW has. Drank water. Played well.

Week 14 Day 6
Didn't sleep well at all. Had extra thin toast with a tiny bit of low-sugar strawberry jelly. Now drinking water.
Need to buy some black sandals before I leave for Nashville. May go out later and also pick up a few of the right items for the 11-hour trip, like water and WW snacks, and maybe a couple of apples.
Since my tummy was still sideways, I ate the last 3 ounces of steak from last night with a 1-point peach yogurt. Actually a refreshing and good combo.
Had a cup of wheat pasta with turkey sauce and a small salad. I was ready for it! Very good and I don't think hubby even noticed it was turkey rather than beef or venison:-}

Week 14 Day 5 Fiber Choice
I got up early this morning to a nice 68 degrees and grabbed the bike and the dog and took off to ride. It was glorious! I'm finally down more weight. This has been a tough week.
Now I'm back and trying to decide what to eat for breakfast. I took my new Fiber Choice. They're chewable and I don't have to drink a gallon of water to wash them down. They're also sugar-free and Ephedrin-free. 4 grams of fiber. A nice discovery.
Think I'll have scrambled Eggbeaters and some turkey bacon before I hit the shower.
Had a small salad for lunch.
Hubby came home with HUGE t-bone steaks. I baked us a small potato and yes, I did fry the okra. I cut my steak in half, though, to save for salad tomorrow.
Had a cup of hot chai latte. LOVE that stuff!

Week 14 Day 4 Off to Wilmington!
Why am I waking up with gas? GEEZ! I ate light yestereday but have a tankful and must drive to Wilmington this afternoon for a reading and book signing. I must find a way to rid myself of it. Apparently Beano does not work for me.
Toasting a mini-wheat bagel. Not sure if I should put cream cheese on it. Definately not going to spread peanut butter. Brewing coffee.
I took another mini-bagel with nothing on it and a bottle of water to drink on the way to my book signing. tummy growled a couple of times duirng my reading. I know, I should have had more than that, but it's okay.
I was starved by 4:30 and since my friends had other plans and couldn't go out to eat, I grabbed 3 samll chicken tenders on my way out of Wilmington. It is now 8:30 and I'm beginning to want something. I came home and made a peach/bluberry/CoolWhipFree parfait so I'll have that rather than another "meal".
It was nice to meet Linda today.

Week 14 Day 3
Had 1 point yogurt for breakfast and made a "pizza" out of spinach wraps for lunch. They were stale so I can't say I enjoyed that.
Attending grandson's birthday party this afternoon and I know they're having pizza (the real deal), homemade cake and homemade blueberry ice cream. WHAT TO DO?
Ate a small tossed salad before I went to the pool. It was so nice out there with a gentle breeze. Everyone had pizza except me. Then I had a tiny piece of cake and about 1/2 bowl of blueberry ice cream. Very good. Came home and brushed my teeth. End of the line for today.

Week 14 Day 2
Eating some mini-wheats before I dresss. I'm keeping all three grandsons today and we're going to the pool if weather permits. Just did some arm and abs work.
Took boys to Hardee's for lunch and we all got the chicken tenders. I know, not good for me, but what can I say? WE enjoyed the pool for over 3 hours and I got in with them and did tons of water aerobics to try and cancel out the tender.
It's 6 pm and all have gone home. I'm not hungry and I hope to eat very little tonight when I do have something. Reading my friend Nadia Giordana's Thinking Skinny. Great book that puts many things into perspective with God as the source of strength.
I had a salad with a mini bagel for supper since I was naughty at lunchtime.

Week 14 Day 1 Weigh-in
Drank a smoothie for breakfast.
I only lost .6 this week, but I know it's because I haven't been getting the amount of exercise I need. It's so hot and humid (heat index well over 100 degrees most days) that I just can't handle the outdoors long enough to do much, and certainly not to do cardio. Working on abs and arms. Need to get on treadmill or dance all over the house to loud music since hubby's not here:=+
Ate a ham sandwich on very stale wheat bread. UGH! Not good at all.
Finished the leftovers from last night: small chicken breast, broccoli casserole and garden peas. Can have a snack later.

Week 13 Day 7
Had a thin bagel and WW cream cheese for breakfast with a small glass of apple juice.
Ate tuna salad on lettuce for lunch with my first sprite melon. Really good. Reminds me of honeydew.
Hubby is grilling chicken and the whole family is coming over. I'm to make a broccoli casserole (steamed for me), fried okra for them, maybe creamed potatoes. I'll do creamed cauliflower for me. Not sure if I'll fix a dessert. Maybe several fruits in Cool Whip Free.
Decided to forego the fruit dessert but made biscuits for the grandsons. Hope to be down at least a little tomorrow at weigh-in.

Week 13 Day 6
Had yogurt for breakfast (1 point). No juice.
Frustrated about lack of outdoor exercise. Heat, humidity, fog, wild aggressive dogs in the neighborhood.
Had a salad for lunch and a Vitamuffin with a little no-sugar ice cream this afternoon. All the muffins taste alike. This one was supposed to be chocolate and peanut butter. Failed to taste any pb.
Had a tuna salad sandwich with an apple for supper. Points left for later

Week 13 Day 5
Had cereal with grapes for breakfast.
Fixed salmon patties for lunch with leftover peas, a small potato, and asparagus. Hubby ate canteloupe for dessert but I didn't have any.
Having a Smart Ones Teriyaki Chicken and veggies (only 4 points) with leftover wild rice.

Week 13 Day 4
Didn't sleep well. Had a small glass of orange juice when I first arose. Then had a bagel thin with cream cheese and some turkey bacon and cup of coffee. Now to make the bed and start my day.
I'm not getting enough outdoor exercise since the track has been taken over by football practices early in the mornings when it's cooler. While the weather's still so hot I'm seriously out of my routine. Guess I need to get on the treadmill even though I don't like it.
Will do some abs and arms once grandson is up.
Got out a small package of ground venison to make spaghetti sauce. I haven't had that in such a long time.
It was good and we had leftover peas with it.
Because hubby and I couldn't make a decision about supper, we ate leftover spaghetti with a small salad. Unfortunately, I'd combined the sauce and wheat noodles which absorbed the sauce and it was dry, not the least bit moist. Anyway, done. How boring!

Week 13 Day 3
Had a bagel and WW cream cheese with a cup of Joe.
Showered and took off to spend the day with a friend in need. Picked her up and went shopping and out to lunch. I bought 2 tops and a pair of black dress pants since my other stuff is getting too big YAAHHHHH!
Went to Tk Tripps and I had no idea what to do, so I ordered the Asian salad. It was good but mostly lettuce which was a good thing but not terribly satisfying. Thank goodness for the teriyaki chicken on top. I dipped into the Orange Ginger dressing but used very little. Points? I have not the slightest idea how to calculate this one.
Hubby doesn't want to eat until later. I'm ready now. I drank a small glass of red wine with some extra sharp white cheddar to tied me over. Points? Have no idea.
Finished meatloaf (thank goodness) with some garden peas and wild rice. I think I'm okay for the day.

Week 13 Day 2
Ate some shredded mini wheats with blueberries and must enough milk to wet them.
Had doctor's appointment at 12:30 so I ate a WW chocolate pretzel mini bar (1 point), thinking that would hold me until after. I got out at 2:00 starved. I stopped at BoJangle's and got 2 chicken strips which were about the size of my pinky finger. However, the seasoned fries were wonderful and totally a SIN! I have no idea how many points that was, but I feel bad now and hubby is making venison meatloaf for supper. I have no idea how many points that is either, especially with creamed corn, fried okra, and a fresh fruit salad. The family is coming over so I've pretty much screwed up for the day.
I ate a small piece of meatloaf, begrudingly. Not what I wanted. I wanted a burger! Anyway, had a small amount of okra and corn, and plenty of salad.
Before bed, I'm having a hot chai latte. Why don't I do this more often? It's so soooooothing.

Week 13 Day 1 Weigh-In
I drank a smoothie for breakfast.
Wow! I got a 25 pound medal today along with another star. I'm tickled. 25!
Woot toot!
I'm going to try to find my fearless leader, "Miss Weight Watchers", on Facebook. Her name is Maria and she's so cute and positive. We all love her. I wish everyone could have the awesome experience I'm having this time around.
Went to Texas Steakhouse for lunch since I had a doctor's appointment in town. Ordered the Harvest Salad with Poppyseed dressing. No rolls. I forgot to tell them "dressing on the side" and they soaked my greens!
It was delicious but I'd have never eaten all that dressing otherwise. I was proud of myself for telling them not to bring those wonderful yeast rolls and butter.
Came home and picked fresh blueberries for later.
Had some grilled steak strips with creamed cauliflower and steamed carrots, and yes fried okra. I couldn't help myself. Still have 2 points left of later.

Week 12 Day 7
My weight keeps fluctuating back and forth a few ounces. Drinking water. Had high fiber cereal with blueberries and a little Half and Half for breakfast.
I have a hair cut appointment later today. That should take off about a pound! I think I'll shave arms and legs tonight and not use any product in my hair tomorrow. That might make me weight less. Ha!
Hair cut feels great and I do feel lighter. Ate a bagel and WW cream cheese for lunch (2 points total).
Ate a little bag of shortbread 100 calorie cookies, (3 points!) for a snack. the bagel didn't satisfy me for long. Now to make it through the rest of the afternoon.

Week 12 Day 6
Slept well and apparently 2 Tablespoons of brandy in a warm cup of water alleviates most gas. I feel so much better.
Made a pot of coffee for an overcast morning and grabbed a small yogurt/cereal to go with it.
Hubby decided to cook a pot of beef stew so I'm eating a small salad for lunch so I can enjoy the stew and some fried okra tonight. I'll cook creamed cauliflower for me and he can have potatoes.
Went to Walmart and found a sprite melon. I'm anxious to taste it but hubby just cut a watermelon so I'll wait.
Hubby's stew beef was delicious. I had cauliflower and he and our younger son ate ceamed potatoes. We also fried okra and shared that so that I didn't get too much of a delicious bad thing, and field peas. A few tomatoes rounded out the plate. I didn't put my great pepper relish (full of sugar) on my peas but they were still good.

Week 12 Day 5
My weight is actually down .2 this morning. I guess I didn't over-do the seafood. I was more tired than hungry.
This morning I made a pot of coffee, something I seldom do any more, and had a mini wheat bagel with WW cream cheese and some turkey bacon inside. Now drinking a huge glass of water. It's cooler today and I have opened windows to get air circulating in this house. It feels good.
Biked two miles.
Love the new poster Dreamspell created to drive attention to the recipe book. Proceeds go to The American Cancer Society. Hoping to sell many for the cause. They're really good recipes, but not particularly for weight loss. Would make great gifts and collections.
For lunch I fixed myself a Smart Ones chicken parmesan (5 points) and a small salad.
Went to double-header ball game and we packed spinach ham wraps, grapes, water, and trail mix.
The trail mix has given me painful gas. Another uncomfortable night is in store. Sigh. I hate gas!

Week 12 Day 4
Had a Weight Watchers strawberry/banana yogurt for breakfast.
Trekked until some kind of insects attacked me.
Ate a little chicken salad about 11:00 and son picked me up for an afternoon of baseball games.
We won both games and finally finished up about 7:30 pm. We ate at The Sandpiper and I was bad. I had sweet tea, lightly fried shrimp and a plain baked potato and slaw. Only ate about half of shrimp, slaw, and potato. I'm a zombie so I'm going to bed.
Good night.

Week 12 Day 3
Walked a mile with dog and came back and ate a bowl of cereal with blueberries and Half and Half. Those berries are huge and sweet right off the bush!
I may try to find some more peaches today.
Went shopping and bought a smaller size pants! Also bought a top that's a tiny bit snug but not for long! Bought new bras and one is a lovely blue. Nice change from black, white, or beige. I also ate fast food and didn't really enjoy it. Used far too many points. SIGH.
Ate a chicken salad spinach wrap and a cold crisp apple for supper.
Thursday, July 29, 2010
Week 12 Day 2
Biked two miles. Came home and had apple juice with an omelette.
Finishing up chicken salad so that I can have that for lunch on lettuce.
Ate chicken salad on lettuce again tonight with a small baked potato and Butter Buds and a few butter beans, picked today. Chicken salad needs something...maybe a little more onion and celery?
Had a fudgesicle.

Week 12 Day 1 Weigh-In
Drat! My weight is up here at home. I probably ate too many crackers with peanut butter. What was I thinking? Now I have to shower and go weigh in...
I actually lost 1.2 pounds, so I'm pleased after having that chicken and pastry this week, and too many crackers and peanut butter last night. Didn't quite get my 5 pound star though. Next time...
I picked up some pork chops for tonight. I've really been wanting some. Hopefully hubby will be home to join me. He's caught lots of mullets so I imagine we'll have those tomorrow night=}
Hubby had so many fish that our sons came over with their families to help scale fish. I grabbed a large bag of BBQ from the freezer for sandwiches. I had mine on a plate without bread. Also had asparagus and a few chips with mine. Froze pork chops since hubby will want fish next. I don't need to eat that leftover BBQ. It's a shame to give it to Duke, but I may if it sits in the fridge for a day or two. Don't think I'm supposed to refreeze it.

Week 11 Day 7
Walked a mile since there was less humidity. So nice=)
Ate a bowl of bran cereal with fresh blueberries and Half and Half.
Had turkey kiebasa and fresh asparagus for lunch.
REally wanted porkchops and fried okra but settled for a Tai Pei General Tso's Chicken (some serious spice) and crackers and peanut butter.

Week 11 Day 6
I drank a smoothie and rode my bike for 3 miles in 80 degree early morning. The humidity wasn't quite as bad but I'm still soaked and in need of a shower.
Boy, do I smell better!
Had tuna salad lettuce wraps for lunch with some fresh grapes and a few Ritz (5 crackers= 2 p;oints.) Not bad when I'm really craving a cracker.
Fixed myself a wonderful salad for supper. Lettuce, steak strips (5 oz) carrot, a few almonds, grapes, cherry tomatoes, and a sprinkle of sharp white cheddar. Dipped fork in ranch yogurt dressing as usual. Yum! I have a point left for later.
Hubby called to tell me he was sitting on the beach at Cape LookOut watching the full moon over the water. Wished I was there in the cool breeze. Boy, I wish I was there too!

Week 11 Day 5
Turkey bacon and eggs for breakfast with grape juice.
Tuna salad on lettuce with grapes for lunch.
Spent the afternoon helping out a friend whose sister died.
I had Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken tonight. Pretty good although the stuffing was a little too herby to suit me. It was 5 points so even though I used more points for breakfast, I still have a few for later this evening. Since it's 103 degrees, ice cream is looking mighty fine.

Week 11 Day 4
Biked two miles. Picked blueberries to freeze for the winter. Ate 2 pieces of double-fiber wheat toast with a smear of whipped peanut butter and some apple juice.
Ate a nice salad for lunch with 5 pretzel chips. They don't do much for me.
Son is bringing over a huge pot of chicken and pastry tonight. I'm to fix everything else. I simply CAN NOT eat pastry! It's thick white flour full of chicken broth. I'll have creamed cauliflower if I still have some in the fridge. May cook some field peas, fresh tomatoes and cukes, and I might make a low-point dessert like frozen lemonade bars from my book, Eat What You Love.
Made the bars and they are freezing. That should be refreshing since it's suppose to be 100 degrees this afternoon.
The chicken was so shredded into the pastry that I had to eat both. It was delicious but I feel bad that I ate it. Didn't eat corn bread. Instead I warmed up leftover caulifowler and ate some peas without relish (which is full of sugar). The lemonade bars were very sour. Needed more sugar or less lemon juice than the recipe called for.

Week 11 Day 3 Physical Exam is Success
Ate a mini-bagel with WW cream cheese. Too hot to go outside even this early in the morning. I have a complete physical today...thrilled.
Going to iron some clothes and take a shower.
Doctor said "you've lost 10% of your weight since last year." I grinned. He was very pleased and thinks I'm in better health than I was then also. Great news!
Had a hamburger in a bun for the first time in 6 weeks. Bad, but good....
Thawing flounder to grill tonight so that'll help make up for the bun.
The flounder was wonderful with apple slaw and a small baked potato. I ate more than I should have but I haven't had fresh flounder since last summer.

Week 11 Day 2
Had cereal with 1/2 peach and just enough milk to cover it.
Biked one mile because it was already hot and humid.
For lunch, I fixed some turkey kielbasa and squash, onion, carrot, and celery stir-fry with fresh tomatoes on the side. Fresh strawberries for dessert.
I have enough stir-fry left for tonight but not sure if I'll have it or Pad Thai with chicken.
Miss WW challenged us to eat a fruit or veggie we've never had before. I love fried okra but may try it stewed just because I have plenty of it in the garden. She also mentioned Sprite melon but I don't know where to get that.
Well, I decided to have some leftover cauliflower, the rest of the leftover stir-fry and some grilled chicken with a tablespoonful of orange sauce on it. I am stuffed. I took Beano before I ate since I've had so much gas lately. Not pleasant at all:-{ I read that drinking 2 Tbsp of brandy in a cup of warm water before going to bed would relieve gas. I haven't tried that, but I might.

Week 11 Day 1 Reached 10% Goal!
I ate a WW yogurt and now have to shower and head to weigh-in. I hope I'm down.
YIPPEEEE!! I met my 10 % goal! I was hoping to recoup the .6 I gained last week and I'm delighted to have done better and met this goal. Got a really cool key ring (heavy) in a gift box. Not sure what to do with it. Really heavy to carry around on my keys I think. I'll have to find a special place for it. Added two more beads to "pounds" necklace.
Ate a Smart Ones chicken enchiladas suiza (6 Points)...very hot and spicy, but I ate it all. Just a little more spice than I like though.
Hubby called and said he'd take me out tonight. Wonderful!
Had a filet mignon and salad at Texas Steakhouse. Heavenly.

Week 10 Day 7
Where does the day go? I weighed LESS this morning, thank goodness. I had a bowl of shredded wheat with a fresh peach and just enough milk to cover it.
For lunch I ate more of the crab salad with a fresh crispy apple. I'm eating out tonight with the Dominoe Dames and then we'll play at my neice's house. We're going to Logan's Steakhouse so I'll be ordering a salad with no cheese or croutons, not eating any peanuts, and drinking water. I'm taking fresh blueberries for all of us to snack on during play.
Enjoyed the girls. Had a salad with grilled chicken and dressing on the side. Drank water. Went back to play Dominoes. Played two rounds and the sky looked like the end of time. I left to drive the 16 miles home before the storm breaks. And here it comes!

Week 10 Day 6 What's going on?
Well, my weight is up again this morning. Dang it! I'm really fighting hard not to get discouraged. I refuse to quit because I know this program will work, and I have to remember that I've lost over 20 pounds and I'm now under 200 pounds for the first time in a long time. It's just that...okay, let me stop whining.
It was less humid this morning so I took off dogless to get in a good walk. Now catching up on huge number of writers who want me to interview them.
Heading to the shower to clean up and then take a drive since Duke wanted to stay out and he's doing so well with that cone on. Just a few more days...
Had small salad and a leftover drumstick for lunch.
Ate a 100-calorie snack pack this afternoon but shared half with Duke. He loves that stuff. Who knew?
Made crab (imitation) salad for tonight and baked a small potato to go with it. I added Butter Buds instead of real butter. Just as good. Saved enough points for a Weight Watchers ice cream bar later on.
It was less humid this morning so I took off dogless to get in a good walk. Now catching up on huge number of writers who want me to interview them.
Heading to the shower to clean up and then take a drive since Duke wanted to stay out and he's doing so well with that cone on. Just a few more days...

Week 10 Day 5
My weight was finally down this morning. I had wheat toast with a smear of whipped peanut butter and made myself a pot of coffee.
Boiled some eggs for a nice fresh salad for lunch. I don't know what hubby wants for supper but we can decide once he gets home.
Now I'm off to work on my arms and abs since Duke is still wearing the cone. I hope to get a good bike or walk in this afternoon once hubby gets home.
Hubby grilled a small chicken. I ate a breast, he ate a half. I had, yes, cauliflower and leftover broccoli casserole and he ate freshly-picked butterbeans. I wanted them, but cooked with ham fat so I didn't touch them.
Just had our bluberry/peach parfait with Cool Whip Free. Delish!

Week 10 Day 4
Had Eggbeaters and turkey bacon for breakfast with small glass of apple juice. I can't understand why I'm a little constipated since I'm eating fruits and veggies all the time. I guess I need to up my grains.
Had ham on wheat sandwich and 1/2 apple for lunch with more apple juice.
I made myself a pizza with a whole wheat wrap, sprayed with butter Pam. I topped it with fresh tomatoes since I didn't have sauce, and added onion, a BabyBel cheese, and some bacon bits. I popped in the over and it was ready in 7 minutes. The Pam made the super thin crust crunchy, but that was fine with me.
It was good but I knew it wouldn't satisfy me until bed time, so I cut up a fresh peach, opened a container of Cool Whip Free and threw in a few blueberries to make the same parfait I had a couple of days ago. I'm glad I discovered this Cool Whip. It's as good or better than what I used before and I don't have all that fat and sugar.

Week 10 Day 3
Had a WW yogurt although I'm not a huge fan of raspberry chocolate for breakfast. Nice to have more yogurt for the 1 point though.
Snuck out and biked for two miles while hubby dealt with Duke, who thinks he has to ride every time the truck cranks. I enjoyed being outside ALONE! Duke is napping at my feet and content now.
Just ate the leftover pork chop from last night with a spoonful of cauliflower and 1/2 can of asparagus. Had planned to eat an apple but I was full, so I'll save that for mid-afternoon.
Ate a little taste of watermelon instead of an apple. O points.
Had steak with rest of cauliflower, asparagus, and a small salad. Stuffed.

Week 10 Day 2 Getting Back to Basics
I had a small yogurt and oj this morning. Had pedicure. Came home and ate a small salad but I can tell it's not going to keep me satisfied. I asked hubby to bring home some fresh peaches to go with the blueberries. I have a carton of non-fat sugar-free Cool Whip that might be just right for these fruits for a nice dessert tonight. I think we'll grill pork chops so I'm trying to be careful with my points.
Missed exercise again today. I can't take Duke out with that cone on because he can't see where he's going. Hubby isn't home to stay with him so I guess I'll dance to some Antebellum, maybe hit the treadmill, and do some arm and ab work. Duke interrupted my exercise but he thought I wanted him to lay down with me when I got on the floor. He weighs 120 pounds! YIKES!
Hubby bought requested fresh peaches and I just made a peach/blueberry/Cool Whip Free (1 point) parfait for tonight's dessert. YUMMMM!
Hubby will grill pork chops and we decided not to marinate them in some high-sodium stuff. Just charcoal, please. We have leftover broccoli casserole and I plan to eat some since we don't have anything else and I hate to throw away good food. I've been struggling today so I can do this even though it contains cream of mushroom soup, an egg, and mayo. The parfaits were sinfully delicious and guilt-free. How divine!

Week 10 Day 1
My weight has stayed pretty much the same this week. I'm not looking forward to weigh-in this morning. I'm 1.2 pounds away from my 10% goal. Hope I make it.
I'm having lunch with my pal, Mary. She has a new ride, so she'll want to drive. Since hubby won't be home for dinner tonight, I'll make this my main meal.
I had gained .6 pound....not happy, but I realize I ate fried squash and fried okra during the week. I don't eat okra any other way. Sigh. I am commiting to getting my 10% award next Wednesday.
Met Mary for lunch at a Thai place we both like. I did not know the nutritional breakdown of anything on the menu so I blindly selected Pad-Woon Sen. It was delicious but I came home and finally found the value online. 11 points!!! Thank goodness I only ate half of it--6 points, I supppose. It's also huge in sodium so I'm drinking a 16-ounce glass of water as I type this. Not sure whether to eat the other half or throw it out. It was so good...
Ate the rest of the Thai with some cauliflower and a small apple. Drank 32 oz. of water to help dilute the sodium. I guess that means I'll be getting up a lot tonight.
Miss WW challenged us to eat 1/2 plate of salad and other 1/2 for anything else. I plan to do that and also use a smaller plate. I'm also going to get back to chewing each bite of food 20-30 times and putting my utensil down between bites. She also said to add color to the plate but I think I do a good job with that already.

Week 9 Day 7
I had Eggbeaters and turkey bacon for breakfast with a cup of coffee. Haven't had a cup of coffee in many weeks. I would have enjoyed it, but had to scramble to buy groceries and retrieve dog from the vet.
Got Duke home with a cone around his head. He isn't happy, to say the least, but got to keep him from licking the wound on his leg.
Had a spinach/ham/carrot wrap for lunch with a few blue corn chips (6= 3 points).
Trying to catch up on emails, interviews, and such since I finished the book edits:~
I had really bad leg cramps last night and had to get up four times. Not sure what that's about, but I hope I can sleep better tonight. Does anyone else have these? I'm certainly eating healthy and drinking water. Do I need a sports drink?
Made a small stir-fry with venison, carrots, onions, squash, and green beans. Creamed another head of cauliflower. Okay...so I'm addicted to the stuff. Who knew that I'd actually enjoy cauliflower so often? Oh, hubby sliced some fresh tomatoes for me too. I'm stuffed 8-]
I felt so sorry for Duke out in the heat and brought him in. I had to clean up that cone and fix him water in a pot he could be his head into with that dang thing on. He's now sleeping at my feet. That's what we both needed. We're inseparable, you know?
