Week 16 Day 7

Weight is finally down this morning. Drank my last Special K protein shake and biked 2 1/2 miles. Nice outside.

Contemplating getting the clubs and heading out alone for 9 holes.

Salad for lunch.

Made a Thai concoction for supper. Spicy

Week 16 Day 6

I can't seem to get my weight moving downward! So aggravating!

Had a small yogurt and went to the dentist.

For lunch, I ate a ham/turkey tomato wrap and a Laughing Cow Lite Babybel cheese with water.

Made some Thai for supper with a small piece of chicken, some shredded carrots, and leftover green beans. Filling enough left for lunch tomorrow.

I decided to forego anything after dinner and went to bed early because I was a zombie.

Week 16 Day 5?

Can't believe how fast time is moving. Anyway, I rode my bike a mile and walked 1/2 mile this morning. 66 degrees. I'm loving it.

Eating a small bowl of cereal with grapes.

Had a ham/turkey tomato wrap for lunch with a few blu corn chips and Bang! Bang! cheese sauce. That should rev my metabolism for sure. Whew!

Grilled some marinated chicken breasts, cooked green beans and small baked potatoes for hubby, grandson, and me. I'm stuffed.

Saturday, August 28, 2010

Week 16 Day 4

Went for a bike ride. No breeze but not as hot. Some humidity. Came home and ate a bowl of cereal with grapes.

Hubby and I ate tuna salad for lunch with a few 1 point crackers.

Had a salad with some strips of steak tonight. Later drank some coffee with a Vitamuffin (chocomint)

Friday, August 27, 2010

Week 16 Day 3

The morning air feels wonderful...68 degrees and the dog is ready to go. I'm going to drink another Special K chocolate drink and maybe juice with my vits and head out the door for a good morning walk.

Thursday, August 26, 2010

Week 16 Day 2

Had a Special K chocolate drink before I went biking. Okay but nothing to write home about. The Slim Fast shakes are much larger for the same points.

Went for bike ride. I can tell it's been too long. Didn't last as long as I'd planned.
Ate a salad for lunch.

Back to outlining the next novel. I'm finding that I forget to post to Grazers Anonymous some times. Where's my discipline?

Drank 2/3 large mug of soup broth and gave dog the veggies. He loves them! Had cheese on wheat toast with it.

Just finished the blueberry pie I made with fat-free condensed milk and non-fat Cool Whip. Yummy and pretty much guilt-free.

Week 16 Day 1 Weigh-In

So I have been on the Weight Watchers program for four months now. Hard to believe.

Ate WW key lime pie yogurt @ 1 point.

Weighed .4 less than last week and that's with trip to Nashville and eating a few of the wrong things. I am delighted that I lost and didn't gain. Got 16-week charm. What am I supposed to do with these things?

so I've lost 26 pounds in four months. I guess that's good but I'd really like to move along at a faster clip. I know that taking it off slowly will help keep it off tough, so I'll just be a tortoise about it:-+

Had more soup broth for lunch with crackers.

Ate a few almonds mid-afternoon.

Thawed enough of hubby's wonderful BBQ for tonight and warmed leftover noodles with Pam Butter spray. Added fried okra, my worse vice of the day.

Saving a few points for the last of the berry pie later.

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Week 15 Day 7

Took 3 grandsons to play golf after stopping at McDonald's for juice and biscuit.

Ate a salad for lunch.

Had a WW fudge bar mid-afternoon.

Hubby is making a huge pot of vegetable soup. It's loaded with butterbeans, corn, and potatoes, so I'll let everyone go ahead of me and then get a bowl of broth and maybe toast or crackers.

I have a bad headache.

Enjoyed the soup broth with some cheese toast and a piece of fresh blueberry pie:  fresh berries with Cool Whip Free and Fat-free Eagle Brand milk in a graham cracker crust. Not sure about points, but certainly better than my original recipe.

Week 15 Day 6

We got home late last night. My weight is up because from Thursday until Monday I was not tracking points. I tried to be careful, but eventually blew it. I consider this my "off week" of the year. So, it's time for confessions.

Early Thursday morning (we were on the road by 6am) we decided to get up the road and stop for "brunch". I did well with that and we ate an apple mid-afternoon. Once we checked into the hotel, we stopped to refuel before going to a baseball game. I knew better than to eat hot dogs and cheese and chips at the game. We both ordered filet mignon, salad, and baked potato, my hubby sweet and mine traditional white. Hubby enjoyed his. My salad was good, and I must confess I ate the warm yeast roll, which turned out to be the best thing I had. I sent my steak back twice and finally gave up on it. It was still bleeding! USgh!

Friday morning hubby went down to Starbuck's with me and yes, I got a Chai Tea Latte. We split a muffin.  Friday was my busiest day at Killer Nashville, so I got along fine. Had lunch at the hotel with 9 other writers. My Monte Christo sandwich was delicious and I chose fruit with it.

At 7 pm, we drove to the Killer Nashville coctail party at founder, Clay Stafford's gorgeous new home. I did well, choosing boiled shrimp, smoked salmon, and things like that with water. However, I did eat a small quiche thingy and a couple of wonderful meatballs.

Saturday, hubby and I went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast since I didn't have anything major to attend that morning. I ate Eggbeaters, grits, a huge biscuit (no jam), and those divine apples. I knew I was slipping, but I couldn't help myself, and I really did want to enjoy the time with hubby and food. Stuffed!

Then my cousin called that she and her husband were picking us up for lunch. We told them we'd had a large breakfast, so we went to Noshville so Chuck could get some lunch. Cuz talked us into having a slice of NYC cheesecake. Turned out to be a SLAB that hubby and I shared. It was without a doubt the best cheesecake I've ever eaten. So rich we took part of it back to the cooler in our room.

I attended the banquet on Saturday night, but was so disappointed in the $75 meal. I did enjoy the salmon, but at 8:30 pm I was about to eat the legs off the table. They served cheesecake too, but hey! No comparison to what I'd had.

Sunday morning, we gathered up and left to head east. Hubby pulled into another Cracker Barrell and we loaded up so we didn't have to stop for lunch.  Stopped about 6:30 pm for FRIED chicken hubby was craving because I never fry it at home. Okay, good stuff.

This morning, my weight was up but not quite as bad as I thought it would be. Today and tomorrow I must MOVE and TRACK and try to get this off before it nestles in tight.

Just drank a Special K chocolate drink but for the 3 points I'd rather have a Slim Fast which is much better and much larger.

Thawed turkey spaghetti sauce and ate a little with some corn chips (12= 3 points). Hubby and grandsons went to the grill.

Week 15 Day 1 Weigh-In

Good morning! I slept fairly well and even though it's 76 degrees early this morning. I'm fixing a pot of coffee. Not sure what I'll have with it. Maybe yogurt.

When I go to weigh and meet, I may stop by a boutique and see if they have a cute capri set I can take on my trip, not that I need clothes, but hey! Something new is always nice. I still need to finish packing and I haven't completed the novel I want Jeffrey Deaver to autograph, but I don't guess that matters.

Disappointed that I maintained. I know I shouldn't beat myself up since I didn't gain, and I know the .0 is due to lack of exercise. That really does make a difference but I live 16 miles from an inside track, and this heat is more than I can endure. Hopefully the temps will drop and stay down in a few weeks. Once school starts next week, the football team will practice after school rather than early in the morning and I can have the track backk. Looking so forward to that. I'm taking my walking shoes in case hubby and I can go for walks in Nashville. He'll get plenty of exercise playing golf while I'm in sessions, but he's such a sweetie, he'll walk with me unless there's a good ball game.

Made "pizza" out of wheat wraps that needed to be used and Light Ragu sauce, added some onion, cheese, and bacon bits. In 375 degree oven for 7 minutes. Crispy and satisfying. Not bad at all.

Not sure what I'l have tonight. I might do lettuce wraps to finish up the lettuce or maybe a Smart Ones entree. I'll be away and unable to blog during my trip since I'm low-tech and all:-\

Packed and pretty much ready to go.

Week 14 Day 7 Dominoes Night

Had cereal with fresh peach and just enough milk to cover.

Bought several 1 point snacks to take on trip so I won't be bad.

For lunch I ate a sandwich on very very thin sandwich bread, thawed so I didn't have to buy bread before leaving.

Had a small potato with spaghetti sauce over it. Delish and filling so I won't eat all the junk tonight. Planning to drink water in a wine glass also:-+

(I just discovered that I posted two Grazers Anonymous blogs on my writing blog! ARRRGHH!  Deleted them but can't remember what all was on them.) Since I'd already had supper, I grazed on carrots, celery, and a few of those very thin pretzel things like WW has. Drank water. Played well.

Monday, August 16, 2010

Week 14 Day 6

Didn't sleep well at all. Had extra thin toast with a tiny bit of low-sugar strawberry jelly. Now drinking water.

Need to buy some black sandals before I leave for Nashville. May go out later and also pick up a few of the right items for the 11-hour trip, like water and WW snacks, and maybe a couple of apples.

Since my tummy was still sideways, I ate the last 3 ounces of steak from last night with a 1-point peach yogurt. Actually a refreshing and good combo.

Had a cup of wheat pasta with turkey sauce and a small salad. I was ready for it! Very good and I don't think hubby even noticed it was turkey rather than beef or venison:-}

Week 14 Day 5 Fiber Choice

I got up early this morning to a nice 68 degrees and grabbed the bike and the dog and took off to ride. It was glorious! I'm finally down more weight. This has been a tough week.

Now I'm back and trying to decide what to eat for breakfast. I took my new Fiber Choice. They're chewable and I don't have to drink a gallon of water to wash them down. They're also sugar-free and Ephedrin-free. 4 grams of fiber. A nice discovery.

Think I'll have scrambled Eggbeaters and some turkey bacon before I hit the shower.

Had a small salad for lunch.

Hubby came home with HUGE t-bone steaks. I baked us a small potato and yes, I did fry the okra. I cut my steak in half, though, to save for salad tomorrow.

Had a cup of hot chai latte. LOVE that stuff!

Week 14 Day 4 Off to Wilmington!

Why am I waking up with gas? GEEZ! I ate light yestereday but have a tankful and must drive to Wilmington this afternoon for a reading and book signing. I must find a way to rid myself of it. Apparently Beano does not work for me.

Toasting a mini-wheat bagel. Not sure if I should put cream cheese on it. Definately not going to spread peanut butter. Brewing coffee.

I took another mini-bagel with nothing on it and a bottle of water to drink on the way to my book signing. tummy growled a couple of times duirng my reading. I know, I should have had more than that, but it's okay.

I was starved by 4:30 and since my friends had other plans and couldn't go out to eat, I grabbed 3 samll chicken tenders on my way out of Wilmington. It is now 8:30 and I'm beginning to want something. I came home and made a peach/bluberry/CoolWhipFree parfait so I'll have that rather than another "meal".

It was nice to meet Linda today.

Friday, August 13, 2010

Week 14 Day 3

Had  1 point yogurt for breakfast and made a "pizza" out of spinach wraps for lunch. They were stale so I can't say I enjoyed that.

Attending grandson's birthday party this afternoon and I know they're having pizza (the real deal), homemade cake and homemade blueberry ice cream. WHAT TO DO?

Ate a small tossed salad before I went to the pool. It was so nice out there with a gentle breeze. Everyone had pizza except me. Then I had a tiny piece of cake and about 1/2 bowl of blueberry ice cream. Very good. Came home and brushed my teeth. End of the line for today.

Thursday, August 12, 2010

Week 14 Day 2

Eating some mini-wheats before I dresss. I'm keeping all three grandsons today and we're going to the pool if weather permits. Just did some arm and abs work.

Took boys to Hardee's for lunch and we all got the chicken tenders. I know, not good for me, but what can I say? WE enjoyed the pool for over 3 hours and I got in with them and did tons of water aerobics to try and cancel out the tender.

It's 6 pm and all have gone home. I'm not hungry and I hope to eat very little tonight when I do have something. Reading my friend Nadia Giordana's Thinking Skinny. Great book that puts many things into perspective with God as the source of strength.

I had a salad with a mini bagel for supper since I was naughty at lunchtime.

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

Week 14 Day 1 Weigh-in

Drank a smoothie for breakfast.

I only lost .6 this week, but I know it's because I haven't been getting the amount of exercise I need. It's so hot and humid (heat index well over 100 degrees most days) that I just can't handle the outdoors long enough to do much, and certainly not to do cardio. Working on abs and arms. Need to get on treadmill or dance all over the house to loud music since hubby's not here:=+

Ate a ham sandwich on very stale wheat bread. UGH! Not good at all.

Finished the leftovers from last night: small chicken breast, broccoli casserole and garden peas. Can have a snack later.

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

Week 13 Day 7

Had a thin bagel and WW cream cheese for breakfast with a small glass of apple juice.

Ate tuna salad on lettuce for lunch with my first sprite melon. Really good. Reminds me of honeydew.

Hubby is grilling chicken and the whole family is coming over. I'm to make a broccoli casserole (steamed for me), fried okra for them, maybe creamed potatoes. I'll do creamed cauliflower for me. Not sure if I'll fix a dessert. Maybe several fruits in Cool Whip Free.

Decided to forego the fruit dessert but made biscuits for the grandsons. Hope to be down at least a little tomorrow at weigh-in.

Monday, August 9, 2010

Week 13 Day 6

Had yogurt for breakfast (1 point). No juice.

Frustrated about lack of outdoor exercise. Heat, humidity, fog, wild aggressive dogs in the neighborhood.

Had a salad for lunch and a Vitamuffin with a little no-sugar ice cream this afternoon. All the muffins taste alike. This one was supposed to be chocolate and peanut butter. Failed to taste any pb.

Had a tuna salad sandwich with an apple for supper. Points left for later

Sunday, August 8, 2010

Week 13 Day 5

Had cereal with grapes for breakfast.

Fixed salmon patties for lunch with leftover peas, a small potato, and asparagus. Hubby ate canteloupe for dessert but I didn't have any.

Having a Smart Ones Teriyaki Chicken and veggies (only 4 points) with leftover wild rice.

Saturday, August 7, 2010

Week 13 Day 4

Didn't sleep well. Had a small glass of orange juice when I first arose. Then had a bagel thin with cream cheese and some turkey bacon and cup of coffee. Now to make the bed and start my day.

I'm not getting enough outdoor exercise since the track has been taken over by football  practices early in the mornings when it's cooler. While the weather's still so hot I'm seriously out of my routine. Guess I need to get on the treadmill even though I don't like it.

Will do some abs and arms once grandson is up.

Got out a small package of ground venison to make spaghetti sauce. I haven't had that in such a long time.
It was good and we had leftover peas with it.

Because hubby and I couldn't make a decision about supper, we ate leftover spaghetti with a small salad. Unfortunately, I'd combined the sauce and wheat noodles which absorbed the sauce and it was dry, not the least bit moist. Anyway, done. How boring!

Friday, August 6, 2010

Week 13 Day 3

Had a bagel and WW cream cheese with a cup of Joe.

Showered and took off to spend the day with a friend in need.  Picked her up and went shopping and out to lunch. I bought 2 tops and a pair of black dress pants since my other stuff is getting too big YAAHHHHH!

Went to Tk Tripps and I had no idea what to do, so I ordered the Asian salad. It was good but mostly lettuce which was a good thing but not terribly satisfying. Thank goodness for the teriyaki chicken on top. I dipped into the Orange Ginger dressing but used very little. Points? I have not the slightest idea how to calculate this one.

Hubby doesn't want to eat until later. I'm ready now. I drank a small glass of red wine with some extra sharp white cheddar to tied me over. Points? Have no idea.

Finished meatloaf (thank goodness) with some garden peas and wild rice. I think I'm okay for the day.

Thursday, August 5, 2010

Week 13 Day 2

Ate some shredded mini wheats with blueberries and must enough milk to wet them.

Had doctor's appointment at 12:30 so I ate a WW chocolate pretzel mini bar (1 point), thinking that would hold me until after. I got out at 2:00 starved. I stopped at BoJangle's and got 2 chicken strips which were about the size of my pinky finger. However, the seasoned fries were wonderful and totally a SIN! I have no idea how many points that was, but I feel bad now and hubby is making venison meatloaf for supper. I have no idea how many points that is either, especially with creamed corn, fried okra, and a fresh fruit salad. The family is coming over so I've pretty much screwed up for the day.

I ate a small piece of meatloaf, begrudingly. Not what I wanted. I wanted a burger! Anyway, had a small amount of okra and corn, and plenty of salad.

Before bed, I'm having a hot chai latte. Why don't I do this more often? It's so soooooothing.

Wednesday, August 4, 2010

Week 13 Day 1 Weigh-In

I drank a smoothie for breakfast.

Wow! I got a 25 pound medal today along with another star. I'm tickled.  25!
Woot toot!

I'm going to try to find my fearless leader, "Miss Weight Watchers", on Facebook. Her name is Maria and she's so cute and positive. We all love her. I wish everyone could have the awesome experience I'm having this time around.

Went to Texas Steakhouse for lunch since I had a doctor's appointment in town. Ordered the Harvest Salad with Poppyseed dressing. No rolls. I forgot to tell them "dressing on the side" and they soaked my greens!
It was delicious but I'd have never eaten all that dressing otherwise. I was proud of myself for telling them not to bring those wonderful yeast rolls and butter.

Came home and picked fresh blueberries for later.

Had some grilled steak strips with creamed cauliflower and steamed carrots, and yes fried okra. I couldn't help myself. Still have 2 points left of later.

Tuesday, August 3, 2010

Week 12 Day 7

My weight keeps fluctuating back and forth a few ounces. Drinking water. Had high fiber cereal with blueberries and a little Half and Half for breakfast.

I have a hair cut appointment later today. That should take off about a pound! I think I'll shave arms and legs tonight and not use any product in my hair tomorrow. That might make me weight less. Ha!

Hair cut feels great and I do feel lighter. Ate a bagel and WW cream cheese for lunch (2 points total).

Ate a little bag of shortbread 100 calorie cookies, (3 points!) for a snack. the bagel didn't satisfy me for long. Now to make it through the rest of the afternoon.

Monday, August 2, 2010

Week 12 Day 6

Slept well and apparently 2 Tablespoons of brandy in a warm cup of water alleviates most gas. I feel so much better.

Made a pot of coffee for an overcast morning and grabbed a small yogurt/cereal to go with it.

Hubby decided to cook a pot of beef stew so I'm eating a small salad for lunch so I can enjoy the stew and some fried okra tonight. I'll cook creamed cauliflower for me and he can have potatoes.

Went to Walmart and found a sprite melon. I'm anxious to taste it but hubby just cut a watermelon so I'll wait.

Hubby's stew beef was delicious. I had cauliflower and he and our younger son ate ceamed potatoes. We also fried okra and shared that so that I didn't get too much of a delicious bad thing, and field peas. A few tomatoes rounded out the plate. I didn't put my great pepper relish (full of sugar) on my peas but they were still good.

Sunday, August 1, 2010

Week 12 Day 5

My weight is actually down .2 this morning. I guess I didn't over-do the seafood. I was more tired than hungry.

This morning I made a pot of coffee, something I seldom do any more, and had a mini wheat bagel with WW cream cheese and some turkey bacon inside.  Now drinking a huge glass of water. It's cooler today and I have opened windows to get air circulating in this house. It feels good.

Biked two miles.

Love the new poster Dreamspell created to drive attention to the recipe book. Proceeds go to The American Cancer Society. Hoping to sell many for the cause. They're really good recipes, but not particularly for weight loss. Would make great gifts and  collections.

For lunch I fixed myself a Smart Ones chicken parmesan (5 points) and a small salad.

Went to double-header ball game and we packed spinach ham wraps, grapes, water, and trail mix.
The trail mix has given me painful gas. Another uncomfortable night is in store. Sigh. I hate gas!
