Had a Weight Watchers strawberry/banana yogurt for breakfast.
Trekked until some kind of insects attacked me.
Ate a little chicken salad about 11:00 and son picked me up for an afternoon of baseball games.
We won both games and finally finished up about 7:30 pm. We ate at The Sandpiper and I was bad. I had sweet tea, lightly fried shrimp and a plain baked potato and slaw. Only ate about half of shrimp, slaw, and potato. I'm a zombie so I'm going to bed.
Good night.
I'm overweight and tired of it. I've decided to hold myself accountable in several ways. Feel free to follow my struggle and comment or encourage whenever you can.

Week 12 Day 3
Walked a mile with dog and came back and ate a bowl of cereal with blueberries and Half and Half. Those berries are huge and sweet right off the bush!
I may try to find some more peaches today.
Went shopping and bought a smaller size pants! Also bought a top that's a tiny bit snug but not for long! Bought new bras and one is a lovely blue. Nice change from black, white, or beige. I also ate fast food and didn't really enjoy it. Used far too many points. SIGH.
Ate a chicken salad spinach wrap and a cold crisp apple for supper.

Week 12 Day 2
Biked two miles. Came home and had apple juice with an omelette.
Finishing up chicken salad so that I can have that for lunch on lettuce.
Ate chicken salad on lettuce again tonight with a small baked potato and Butter Buds and a few butter beans, picked today. Chicken salad needs something...maybe a little more onion and celery?
Had a fudgesicle.

Week 12 Day 1 Weigh-In
Drat! My weight is up here at home. I probably ate too many crackers with peanut butter. What was I thinking? Now I have to shower and go weigh in...
I actually lost 1.2 pounds, so I'm pleased after having that chicken and pastry this week, and too many crackers and peanut butter last night. Didn't quite get my 5 pound star though. Next time...
I picked up some pork chops for tonight. I've really been wanting some. Hopefully hubby will be home to join me. He's caught lots of mullets so I imagine we'll have those tomorrow night=}
Hubby had so many fish that our sons came over with their families to help scale fish. I grabbed a large bag of BBQ from the freezer for sandwiches. I had mine on a plate without bread. Also had asparagus and a few chips with mine. Froze pork chops since hubby will want fish next. I don't need to eat that leftover BBQ. It's a shame to give it to Duke, but I may if it sits in the fridge for a day or two. Don't think I'm supposed to refreeze it.

Week 11 Day 7
Walked a mile since there was less humidity. So nice=)
Ate a bowl of bran cereal with fresh blueberries and Half and Half.
Had turkey kiebasa and fresh asparagus for lunch.
REally wanted porkchops and fried okra but settled for a Tai Pei General Tso's Chicken (some serious spice) and crackers and peanut butter.

Week 11 Day 6
I drank a smoothie and rode my bike for 3 miles in 80 degree early morning. The humidity wasn't quite as bad but I'm still soaked and in need of a shower.
Boy, do I smell better!
Had tuna salad lettuce wraps for lunch with some fresh grapes and a few Ritz (5 crackers= 2 p;oints.) Not bad when I'm really craving a cracker.
Fixed myself a wonderful salad for supper. Lettuce, steak strips (5 oz) carrot, a few almonds, grapes, cherry tomatoes, and a sprinkle of sharp white cheddar. Dipped fork in ranch yogurt dressing as usual. Yum! I have a point left for later.
Hubby called to tell me he was sitting on the beach at Cape LookOut watching the full moon over the water. Wished I was there in the cool breeze. Boy, I wish I was there too!

Week 11 Day 5
Turkey bacon and eggs for breakfast with grape juice.
Tuna salad on lettuce with grapes for lunch.
Spent the afternoon helping out a friend whose sister died.
I had Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken tonight. Pretty good although the stuffing was a little too herby to suit me. It was 5 points so even though I used more points for breakfast, I still have a few for later this evening. Since it's 103 degrees, ice cream is looking mighty fine.

Week 11 Day 4
Biked two miles. Picked blueberries to freeze for the winter. Ate 2 pieces of double-fiber wheat toast with a smear of whipped peanut butter and some apple juice.
Ate a nice salad for lunch with 5 pretzel chips. They don't do much for me.
Son is bringing over a huge pot of chicken and pastry tonight. I'm to fix everything else. I simply CAN NOT eat pastry! It's thick white flour full of chicken broth. I'll have creamed cauliflower if I still have some in the fridge. May cook some field peas, fresh tomatoes and cukes, and I might make a low-point dessert like frozen lemonade bars from my book, Eat What You Love.
Made the bars and they are freezing. That should be refreshing since it's suppose to be 100 degrees this afternoon.
The chicken was so shredded into the pastry that I had to eat both. It was delicious but I feel bad that I ate it. Didn't eat corn bread. Instead I warmed up leftover caulifowler and ate some peas without relish (which is full of sugar). The lemonade bars were very sour. Needed more sugar or less lemon juice than the recipe called for.

Week 11 Day 3 Physical Exam is Success
Ate a mini-bagel with WW cream cheese. Too hot to go outside even this early in the morning. I have a complete physical today...thrilled.
Going to iron some clothes and take a shower.
Doctor said "you've lost 10% of your weight since last year." I grinned. He was very pleased and thinks I'm in better health than I was then also. Great news!
Had a hamburger in a bun for the first time in 6 weeks. Bad, but good....
Thawing flounder to grill tonight so that'll help make up for the bun.
The flounder was wonderful with apple slaw and a small baked potato. I ate more than I should have but I haven't had fresh flounder since last summer.

Week 11 Day 2
Had cereal with 1/2 peach and just enough milk to cover it.
Biked one mile because it was already hot and humid.
For lunch, I fixed some turkey kielbasa and squash, onion, carrot, and celery stir-fry with fresh tomatoes on the side. Fresh strawberries for dessert.
I have enough stir-fry left for tonight but not sure if I'll have it or Pad Thai with chicken.
Miss WW challenged us to eat a fruit or veggie we've never had before. I love fried okra but may try it stewed just because I have plenty of it in the garden. She also mentioned Sprite melon but I don't know where to get that.
Well, I decided to have some leftover cauliflower, the rest of the leftover stir-fry and some grilled chicken with a tablespoonful of orange sauce on it. I am stuffed. I took Beano before I ate since I've had so much gas lately. Not pleasant at all:-{ I read that drinking 2 Tbsp of brandy in a cup of warm water before going to bed would relieve gas. I haven't tried that, but I might.

Week 11 Day 1 Reached 10% Goal!
I ate a WW yogurt and now have to shower and head to weigh-in. I hope I'm down.
YIPPEEEE!! I met my 10 % goal! I was hoping to recoup the .6 I gained last week and I'm delighted to have done better and met this goal. Got a really cool key ring (heavy) in a gift box. Not sure what to do with it. Really heavy to carry around on my keys I think. I'll have to find a special place for it. Added two more beads to "pounds" necklace.
Ate a Smart Ones chicken enchiladas suiza (6 Points)...very hot and spicy, but I ate it all. Just a little more spice than I like though.
Hubby called and said he'd take me out tonight. Wonderful!
Had a filet mignon and salad at Texas Steakhouse. Heavenly.

Week 10 Day 7
Where does the day go? I weighed LESS this morning, thank goodness. I had a bowl of shredded wheat with a fresh peach and just enough milk to cover it.
For lunch I ate more of the crab salad with a fresh crispy apple. I'm eating out tonight with the Dominoe Dames and then we'll play at my neice's house. We're going to Logan's Steakhouse so I'll be ordering a salad with no cheese or croutons, not eating any peanuts, and drinking water. I'm taking fresh blueberries for all of us to snack on during play.
Enjoyed the girls. Had a salad with grilled chicken and dressing on the side. Drank water. Went back to play Dominoes. Played two rounds and the sky looked like the end of time. I left to drive the 16 miles home before the storm breaks. And here it comes!

Week 10 Day 6 What's going on?
Well, my weight is up again this morning. Dang it! I'm really fighting hard not to get discouraged. I refuse to quit because I know this program will work, and I have to remember that I've lost over 20 pounds and I'm now under 200 pounds for the first time in a long time. It's just that...okay, let me stop whining.
It was less humid this morning so I took off dogless to get in a good walk. Now catching up on huge number of writers who want me to interview them.
Heading to the shower to clean up and then take a drive since Duke wanted to stay out and he's doing so well with that cone on. Just a few more days...
Had small salad and a leftover drumstick for lunch.
Ate a 100-calorie snack pack this afternoon but shared half with Duke. He loves that stuff. Who knew?
Made crab (imitation) salad for tonight and baked a small potato to go with it. I added Butter Buds instead of real butter. Just as good. Saved enough points for a Weight Watchers ice cream bar later on.

Week 10 Day 5
My weight was finally down this morning. I had wheat toast with a smear of whipped peanut butter and made myself a pot of coffee.
Boiled some eggs for a nice fresh salad for lunch. I don't know what hubby wants for supper but we can decide once he gets home.
Now I'm off to work on my arms and abs since Duke is still wearing the cone. I hope to get a good bike or walk in this afternoon once hubby gets home.
Hubby grilled a small chicken. I ate a breast, he ate a half. I had, yes, cauliflower and leftover broccoli casserole and he ate freshly-picked butterbeans. I wanted them, but cooked with ham fat so I didn't touch them.
Just had our bluberry/peach parfait with Cool Whip Free. Delish!

Week 10 Day 4
Had Eggbeaters and turkey bacon for breakfast with small glass of apple juice. I can't understand why I'm a little constipated since I'm eating fruits and veggies all the time. I guess I need to up my grains.
Had ham on wheat sandwich and 1/2 apple for lunch with more apple juice.
I made myself a pizza with a whole wheat wrap, sprayed with butter Pam. I topped it with fresh tomatoes since I didn't have sauce, and added onion, a BabyBel cheese, and some bacon bits. I popped in the over and it was ready in 7 minutes. The Pam made the super thin crust crunchy, but that was fine with me.
It was good but I knew it wouldn't satisfy me until bed time, so I cut up a fresh peach, opened a container of Cool Whip Free and threw in a few blueberries to make the same parfait I had a couple of days ago. I'm glad I discovered this Cool Whip. It's as good or better than what I used before and I don't have all that fat and sugar.

Week 10 Day 3
Had a WW yogurt although I'm not a huge fan of raspberry chocolate for breakfast. Nice to have more yogurt for the 1 point though.
Snuck out and biked for two miles while hubby dealt with Duke, who thinks he has to ride every time the truck cranks. I enjoyed being outside ALONE! Duke is napping at my feet and content now.
Just ate the leftover pork chop from last night with a spoonful of cauliflower and 1/2 can of asparagus. Had planned to eat an apple but I was full, so I'll save that for mid-afternoon.
Ate a little taste of watermelon instead of an apple. O points.
Had steak with rest of cauliflower, asparagus, and a small salad. Stuffed.

Week 10 Day 2 Getting Back to Basics
I had a small yogurt and oj this morning. Had pedicure. Came home and ate a small salad but I can tell it's not going to keep me satisfied. I asked hubby to bring home some fresh peaches to go with the blueberries. I have a carton of non-fat sugar-free Cool Whip that might be just right for these fruits for a nice dessert tonight. I think we'll grill pork chops so I'm trying to be careful with my points.
Missed exercise again today. I can't take Duke out with that cone on because he can't see where he's going. Hubby isn't home to stay with him so I guess I'll dance to some Antebellum, maybe hit the treadmill, and do some arm and ab work. Duke interrupted my exercise but he thought I wanted him to lay down with me when I got on the floor. He weighs 120 pounds! YIKES!
Hubby bought requested fresh peaches and I just made a peach/blueberry/Cool Whip Free (1 point) parfait for tonight's dessert. YUMMMM!
Hubby will grill pork chops and we decided not to marinate them in some high-sodium stuff. Just charcoal, please. We have leftover broccoli casserole and I plan to eat some since we don't have anything else and I hate to throw away good food. I've been struggling today so I can do this even though it contains cream of mushroom soup, an egg, and mayo. The parfaits were sinfully delicious and guilt-free. How divine!

Week 10 Day 1
My weight has stayed pretty much the same this week. I'm not looking forward to weigh-in this morning. I'm 1.2 pounds away from my 10% goal. Hope I make it.
I'm having lunch with my pal, Mary. She has a new ride, so she'll want to drive. Since hubby won't be home for dinner tonight, I'll make this my main meal.
I had gained .6 pound....not happy, but I realize I ate fried squash and fried okra during the week. I don't eat okra any other way. Sigh. I am commiting to getting my 10% award next Wednesday.
Met Mary for lunch at a Thai place we both like. I did not know the nutritional breakdown of anything on the menu so I blindly selected Pad-Woon Sen. It was delicious but I came home and finally found the value online. 11 points!!! Thank goodness I only ate half of it--6 points, I supppose. It's also huge in sodium so I'm drinking a 16-ounce glass of water as I type this. Not sure whether to eat the other half or throw it out. It was so good...
Ate the rest of the Thai with some cauliflower and a small apple. Drank 32 oz. of water to help dilute the sodium. I guess that means I'll be getting up a lot tonight.
Miss WW challenged us to eat 1/2 plate of salad and other 1/2 for anything else. I plan to do that and also use a smaller plate. I'm also going to get back to chewing each bite of food 20-30 times and putting my utensil down between bites. She also said to add color to the plate but I think I do a good job with that already.

Week 9 Day 7
I had Eggbeaters and turkey bacon for breakfast with a cup of coffee. Haven't had a cup of coffee in many weeks. I would have enjoyed it, but had to scramble to buy groceries and retrieve dog from the vet.
Got Duke home with a cone around his head. He isn't happy, to say the least, but got to keep him from licking the wound on his leg.
Had a spinach/ham/carrot wrap for lunch with a few blue corn chips (6= 3 points).
Trying to catch up on emails, interviews, and such since I finished the book edits:~
I had really bad leg cramps last night and had to get up four times. Not sure what that's about, but I hope I can sleep better tonight. Does anyone else have these? I'm certainly eating healthy and drinking water. Do I need a sports drink?
Made a small stir-fry with venison, carrots, onions, squash, and green beans. Creamed another head of cauliflower. Okay...so I'm addicted to the stuff. Who knew that I'd actually enjoy cauliflower so often? Oh, hubby sliced some fresh tomatoes for me too. I'm stuffed 8-]
I felt so sorry for Duke out in the heat and brought him in. I had to clean up that cone and fix him water in a pot he could be his head into with that dang thing on. He's now sleeping at my feet. That's what we both needed. We're inseparable, you know?

Week 9 Day 6
Ate yogurt. Hubby took dog to vet. Has a nasty sore on his leg and he's gnawing on it. Bloody mess. I am too busy on pre-proof deadline to take him. I'm supposed to have a live radio interview this afternoon, but had to postpone it to pick up the dog. What a day! Finally located all writers who submitted recipes for the cookbook to clarify things for the editor.
Hubby came in to tell me he was going to the grill for lunch. I didn't even know it was lunch time! Certainly haven't cooked today. I got to a stopping place and fixed myself a salad. I have butterfly venison steaks thawing for tonight but have no idea what we'll have with it. Not getting any exercise today. Sitting in front of the computer trying to get caught up with interview I've promised to do for folks, reschedule mine, and edit the cookbook for the last time before its release.
Hubby grilled the venison (4 points) but it was too tough to eat. I was disappointed but enjoyed a good portion of broccoli casserole, fresh tomato, and a small baked potato. He made a fresh blueberry cobbler with wheat bread and Stevia, the natural sweetener. I will try a little later on with some sugar-free ice cream on it.
The cobbler was good with the sugar-free ice cream. It's amazing that I don't miss all that sugar;-0

Week 9 Day 5 Indoor Exercise
Slept so well last night even with hubby gone. Had wheat toast with a smear of peanut butter and a glass of Ruby Red juice. Already extremely hot and humid. Guess I'll put on some music and dance around in the house for exercise. "They" say dancing just ten minutes a day will take off pounds. I just have to remember to stretch first so I don't hurt my back or knees.
Had a nice salad for lunch with fresh blueberries in it. YUM!
My grandson is 14 today and having a pool cookout this evening. I can't eat anything they're having so I guess I'll pack my "emergency bag" and drink water with it. Not fun, but I don't really like hot dogs much anyway:-\
Ate a ham on wheat sandwich with a 100-calorie pack of snack stuff, pretzels, tiny Ritz, etc. I forget the name of them, a few watermelon balls, and a semi-cool bottle of water while the others indulged in hot dogs, chips and dips, and cake and ice cream. I busied myself around the pool and it didn't bother me. I came home and ate a little tub of WW fat-free chocolate ice cream. Delish and very satisfying. Bet my ice cream was better than what they had from a carton ;-))

Week 9 Day 4 Trying on Clothes
Even though I ate that slice of coconut cake, my weight is down this morning. I guess it's because I didn't eat that much yesterday, knowing that I'm having to do so much riding and sitting.
Had a small orange juice and rode my bike 2 miles. Not humid this morning in spite of being in the 70s early.
Came home and drank more oj with a Smart Ones Morning Express (4 points). I wanted to try it. The eggs (Eggbeaters) were good with just a pinch of cheese that melted through them. The potatoes were good but bell pepper gives me indigestion so I racked them to the side. Not bad for 4 points. I can easily make my own and leave out the pepper. This would be a good breakfast after having leftover potatoes the night before. Quick and easy.
I need to shower and go buy a few more Smart Ones since the only item like that left is a Lean Pocket and they don't do much for me. Tasteless.
Since baseball is over, maybe I can concentrate on writing a little more. I've really been off the field with that:-\
I decided to wait until Monday to go to the grocery store since hubby won't be home tonight. I found a large zucchini in the garden and I think I'll marinate it and grill it inside.
Now it's extremely humid outside. I guess I'll stay in the rest of the day. Not quite sure what to do with myself since I don't have ball games anymore.
Went through my closet and tried on some too-big-for-me-now clothes. Packed up 8 blouses, 4 pairs of capris, and 2 dress pants for GoodWill:-))
Grilled a 4 oz piece of country ham and some sliced zucchini. I was disappointed in the zuc. Not much taste to it. Better on the charcoal grill, I bet. I also FRIED our first okra from the garden. Yes, I've been bad, but it was so good and I had the points.
The wonderful and much-needed rain has stopped and I'm thinking about another bike ride or at least a walk. Not sure, but imagine that all ball games scheduled at the school for this afternoon have been rained out, so I should have the place to myself.

Week 9 Day 3
I drank a smoothie for breakfast.
I'm having Tai Pei Garlic Shrimp (1 point) for lunch with creamed cauliflower to sub for rice. This will leave me with lots of points in case we eat at Cracker Barrel or some other hard-to-find healthy foods place. It's not that I don't like Cracker Barrel, it's the fact that they cook everything in pork fat. Delicious but not healthy.
On the way to the ball game we stopped at Meadow where they have a country-cooking buffet. I cringed but found lightly battered shrimp and ate about 8, boiled Bliss potatoes, 1, and slaw. I cut a thin slice of homemade coconut cake. Gulp! Left satisfied but not stuffed.
We lost the ball game and got home after midnight. Baseball is complete for the year.

Week 9 Day 2 Back to the ball park
Had a large bowl of cereal with a fresh peach and some blueberries. Excellent. We are planning to eat out somewhere on the way to Holly Springs for the first round of the 10-under state baseball championship. We have two grandsons on the same team. The game is a 6 pm so won't be over until around 8 pm, so we figure a large lunch and I'm taking a Weight Watchers bar or snack for tonight.
My Vita-tops came and hubby tried a dark chocolate/pomegrante with real ice cream. He said it was good with the ice cream. I decided to eat an apple since we're leaving at 2:30 pm and will stop at Cracker Barrel on the way to the game. I've been online trying to find something there I can eat. Not a lot of healthy choices since nearly everything is cooked with pork. Will probably have grilled chicken tenders with turnip greens.
Plans changed to Golden Corral and I had no idea what to do. Ended up with lots of protein: baked chicken breast, roast beef, seafood salad, and a taste of sweet and sour chicken with wild rice. I have no idea how many points this was. I had 13 to play with. I'll just have to chalk this day up to BAD and move on. We also lost the ball game. We have to go back and play in the loser's bracket tomorrow at the same field.
I'm tired of sitting and my knees are howling. Good night.

Week 9 Day 1 Weigh Day
I had a small blueberry yogurt with cereal in it. Now I'm off to the shower to get ready for weigh-in.
Wow! I am so excited! I knew my weight was down, but I "officially" lost 3.4 pounds this week...over the Fourth of July weekend! I have now lost a total of 20.8 pounds, and yes, I have added 3 more beads to my necklace (see blog below if you don't know what I'm talking about). I wore the necklace to the meeting today and told them what I was doing. They thought is was great and I may start seeing more of these or some other visuals to indicate pounds lost. I got another star for another loss of 5 pounds and I'm within 1.8 pounds of getting my 20% star. My goal is to get that next Wednesday.
Ate in town, but didn't plan well. Ended up with a Wendy's chicken sandwich, fries, and unsweet tea. I know, terrible, right? I ate a few fries and decided they just weren't worth it. Ate the sandwich and drank part of the tea. Now I have to figure out how many points that sandwich was....but I'm still ELATED!
Tonight I ate a grilled chicken breast (leftover) with more creamed cauliflower and fresh tomatoes. I seem to be addicted to cauliflower. Who knew? lol. The chicken was not very good because it was tough and I gave part of it to the dog. He loved it.
Had a bowl of blueberries with Half and Half. YUMMM.

Week 8 Day 7 Noticeable Weight Loss
Had orange juice and rode my bike three miles. Came back and had Eggbeaters on wheat toast.
For lunch I ate the leftover Oriental stir-fry with grilled chicken to satisfy me. Hubby ate two BLTs. He hugged me and told me how proud he was and that he could really tell I'm losing. Now that's worth a pound of flesh.;-))
Hubby cooked a few butter beans but I opted to finish the green beans in the fridge with my tuna salad and fresh tomatoes. I have leftover points.
Had a WW ice cream sandwich. They're wonderful!

Week 8 Day 6 Am I turning Orange?
This morning I had double-fiber wheat toast with a smear of peanut butter and some orange juice with calcium.
I'm finally working some one my next novel, The Goose Parade of Old Dickeywood, about two menopausal women who have weight problems and marital problems. Hoping it will have plenty of humor.
Had lettuce wraps for lunch. Ate a few carrot sticks mid-afternoon. Am I turning orange?
Tonight was lefovers: hubby ate spaghetti, beans, corn, and a few of my Oriental veggies. I ate Oriental veggies atop creamed cauliflower with a Bruschetta (6 pts.) Nothing to rave about, but I'm certainly full. Hubby ate a fresh peach but I had to pass.

Week 8 Day 5 Happy Fourth of July!
Drank some of the new orange juice with calcium I bought (6 points for the entire carton). It tastes pretty good, but it certainly is watered down. I'd been drinking 100% juice with high pulp.
Walked with my dog, Duke, and it was fairly nice this morning. Now I must shower and head to the grocery store for Fourth of July items. Why did I wait to the last minute?
We're invited over to my sister-in-law's for a cookout this afternoon. They're grilling burger and dogs and hubby's brother is making homemade ice cream. There will be the usual snacks, etc. ahead of this. I'm not sure what to do. I'm somewhat ill about even going. I started to buy some beautiful large strawberries and slit them to fill with Weight Watchers cream cheese (1 pt.), but I figured they'd dive on them as soon as I walk in and I would do well to get one, so I didn't get them. Is that mean of me?
I have a recipe for Blueberry cheesecake bars, made with WW cream cheese, fresh berries from my bushes, and Splenda (Truvia). These babies are only 2 points each. I may make them, although with the ice cream, we really don't need another dessert. I would enjoy them while the others eat ice cream, but I know how they are: they'll eat my bars too, which is fine as long as I get some. Am I being selfish? If I stayed home, that would solve the issue, but I really do want to go at least until the skeeters attack.
I decided to have breakfast for lunch: eggbeaters, turkey bacon and creamed cauliflower instead of grits. No bread. Pretty good. I sat beside a lady in last week's meeting who said she eats eggs every day because she loses more weight doing that. Not sure about that. Does anyone know?
I baked the blueberry cheesecake bars from my new Eat What You Love cookbook with WW points listed for every recipe. If they're as good as the batter, I'm in HEAVEN! I have a feeling I'm going to love that book beyond belief. I won't care that my loving family is eating peach ice cream. HA!
Turns out that the men aren't making homemade ice cream. The poor dears will be having carton ice cream. I suppose I'll have to share my decadent bars with them:-| Soon they'll be begging me to prepare more healthy desserts for family functions. There are others who could stand to lose a few pounds.
I snacked on my carrot sticks while the others ate chips and dips. I had a glass of water with strawberry/banana mix and it was good and no points. Ate one burger wrapped in lettuce with a tomato, no mayo, etc. Filled the rest of my plate with carrot sticks. The rest of the family had burgers and hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, and carton ice cream. I put out my blueberry cheesecake bars and a few folks tried them. I brought some home, so I guess they weren't sweet enough for them, but they're a nice alternative to REAL full fat cheesecake, and I'm happy with them.

Week 8 Day 4 The Bead Necklace
I'm within .2 point of reaching one of my first goals...to get under 200 pounds. Can I do it? YES I CAN!
We have a double-header today beginning at 2 pm so I'm cooking spaghetti with wheat pasta for lunch. I'll make sure to measure my portion. I'm thinking about throwing some broccoli into it for a little added fiber. Then I'll need to be careful what I eat tonight. The humidity is not bad even though it's going to get into the high 80s, still a nice break from the 3-digit temps we had last week.
Just biked two miles. My neck is stiff. Don't know why.
Had a salad with spaghetti. Hubby enjoyed it. He's gone to game and then has to stay with his mother, so I'm glad he got a good, hot meal.
Just saw on FaceBook WW group that Nicki keeps track of points with paper clips. I tried to set something up, but I didn't like the way it looked. Then I had a brainstorm: why not take my mother's long thin necklace and add a bead for each pound lost? I have a huge assortment of tiny to large ones. I have 17 beads on it since I'll keep the "official" pound count and not my scales' count (which is always more). Cool necklace, isn't it? I'll have to wear it to WW meetings. My only concern is the weight on the tiny chain. May be forced to buy a thicker chain. Oh well...:-))
We lost both games but my grandson got to play both games as a starter. He made some great plays for 13-years-old on a high school team.
Came home and stewed a Granny Smith apple to go with Sweet/Sour Chicken and rice (7 points). I'm stuffed.

Week 8 Day 3
Had toast and went for a walk in the nice weather. I hope it lasts, but I know better...July in North Carolina? I'm enjoying it while I can be outside. Trying to drink more water today.
Had a salad with a tiny bit of bacon bits, 1/2 fresh tomato, a few almonds. I always dip my fork in the dressing, so I use what I like.
I finally went over to dwlz.com and Dotti has compiled a huge list of place to eat out with WW points already figured! It's wonderful! I copied 7 pages of resturants I frequent or ones I may go to while we're traveling. That's a great service for WW folks, and I'm sure it took her many hours. She updates if often as places add/delete items. Still haven't found Andy's Cheesesteak restaurants online or on her list. It seem they're the only places open some nights after the ball games. I eat a plain hamburger or a small salad.
Tonight we came home and hubby is fixing himself a BLT and I'm eating a bowl of cereal with a fresh peach at 8:50 pm.
Just ate a mini peanut butter bar. Excellent and satisfies my need for PB. Good night, y'all.

Week 8 Day 2
Drank a strawberry smoothie and went for a nice walk with Duke. The humidity and temp are so much nicer.
Had a roast beef/turkey on wheat sandwich for lunch with 1/2 half apple shared with hubby. We're having steak and fresh veggies tonight since we don't have a ball game. YAHHH!
My sandwich and 1/2 apple certainly hasn't kept me satisfied. I'm trying to save up my points, but it's difficult at 3:30. I have 3 hours to wait...HELP!
Thanks to those of you who are on the Weight Watchers Facebook page for your encouragement. Less than an hour to go!
My steak was wonderful...tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. I had creamed cauliflower and green beans with it while everyone else had fresh corn and fresh taters, but that's okay.
