Week 15 Day 6

We got home late last night. My weight is up because from Thursday until Monday I was not tracking points. I tried to be careful, but eventually blew it. I consider this my "off week" of the year. So, it's time for confessions.

Early Thursday morning (we were on the road by 6am) we decided to get up the road and stop for "brunch". I did well with that and we ate an apple mid-afternoon. Once we checked into the hotel, we stopped to refuel before going to a baseball game. I knew better than to eat hot dogs and cheese and chips at the game. We both ordered filet mignon, salad, and baked potato, my hubby sweet and mine traditional white. Hubby enjoyed his. My salad was good, and I must confess I ate the warm yeast roll, which turned out to be the best thing I had. I sent my steak back twice and finally gave up on it. It was still bleeding! USgh!

Friday morning hubby went down to Starbuck's with me and yes, I got a Chai Tea Latte. We split a muffin.  Friday was my busiest day at Killer Nashville, so I got along fine. Had lunch at the hotel with 9 other writers. My Monte Christo sandwich was delicious and I chose fruit with it.

At 7 pm, we drove to the Killer Nashville coctail party at founder, Clay Stafford's gorgeous new home. I did well, choosing boiled shrimp, smoked salmon, and things like that with water. However, I did eat a small quiche thingy and a couple of wonderful meatballs.

Saturday, hubby and I went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast since I didn't have anything major to attend that morning. I ate Eggbeaters, grits, a huge biscuit (no jam), and those divine apples. I knew I was slipping, but I couldn't help myself, and I really did want to enjoy the time with hubby and food. Stuffed!

Then my cousin called that she and her husband were picking us up for lunch. We told them we'd had a large breakfast, so we went to Noshville so Chuck could get some lunch. Cuz talked us into having a slice of NYC cheesecake. Turned out to be a SLAB that hubby and I shared. It was without a doubt the best cheesecake I've ever eaten. So rich we took part of it back to the cooler in our room.

I attended the banquet on Saturday night, but was so disappointed in the $75 meal. I did enjoy the salmon, but at 8:30 pm I was about to eat the legs off the table. They served cheesecake too, but hey! No comparison to what I'd had.

Sunday morning, we gathered up and left to head east. Hubby pulled into another Cracker Barrell and we loaded up so we didn't have to stop for lunch.  Stopped about 6:30 pm for FRIED chicken hubby was craving because I never fry it at home. Okay, good stuff.

This morning, my weight was up but not quite as bad as I thought it would be. Today and tomorrow I must MOVE and TRACK and try to get this off before it nestles in tight.

Just drank a Special K chocolate drink but for the 3 points I'd rather have a Slim Fast which is much better and much larger.

Thawed turkey spaghetti sauce and ate a little with some corn chips (12= 3 points). Hubby and grandsons went to the grill.
