Week 18 Day 4

Drank some juice, grabbed the trekking poles and loaded Duke in the truck. I walked the stadium stairs a few times and did deep knee bends. That got my heart rate up in a hurry. Stairs always do. Then I headed over to the track with my trekking poles. I did interval walking/trekking. Great workout! I feel wonderful! Going to try to go through all post-it-notes in my office today and get rid of them. Opened the windows for the cool breeze to enter my domain. Life is good.

Made and ate my first homemade spring rolls for lunch. Substituted broccoli slaw for rice noodles, made all vegetarian, and rolled in one wrapper. A few of them tore. Popped in oven to crisp but didn't leave in long enough. Good but not enough salt. Should have used more Hoison sauce I suppose. Still better than the authentic ones I bought earlier this week. I'll keep working on it until I get the right mix. I know I need a binder like ground turkey or shrimp and some chopped peanuts or something like that. I ate three spring rolls. I can already tell I'll be hungry again in an hour.

Ate several things this afternoon: an apple with sugar-free caramel, some cheese and crackers

Made tuna salad for supper and baked us a potato. Butter Buds on mine. I love the Albacore in water. So much better than that stuff that looks pre-chewed.
